6" Polar Array BBQ Grill, Smoker or Pit Air Venting Damper Kit

Heavy duty and will outlast your smoker/grill. The 6 inch that I ordered is better suited for a wood/charcoal smoker or grill. They do make a 4 inch for smaller smokers like mine. I have an electric Mastersmoker grill that only has a small hole in the bottom for air intake and the same size at the top. I replaced the heating element to achieve plus 375 degrees. So the air damper can smoke the wood and achieve higher temperature for grill smoking things like chicken and pork that we want well done to kill off any nasty bugs/bacteria. It really is too simple to install (no cutting just use a drill). However, I would try with just drill a few holes to test for the best temperature.

I read the reviews on this and ordered one so I could inspect it in my own hands, I have to agree the paint is crap But the vent itsself is very solid and of great quality, now, its a little different and has 12 1/2 inch holes in it, which is different then the 6 3/4 holes it showes in the picture. Very solid part, I installed 2 of them, 1 on each side of the fire box on my smoker, Total time took about 40 minutes due to the drilling through the 1/4 inch steel on the box, works very well with one on each side and very easy to regulate the temp with, I took them both down to bear metal and painted them with high heat paint, very happy with this produce.

These vents fit just right on my pig cooker and gave me a much better airflow than I had before which of course helps maintain temperature better.

Works great but you may need to drill holes bigger. This was put on a large built LP tank smoker with a 3" exhaust. When we did our first test run with damper fully open the max temp was 215 so had to keep the door on fire box door cracked open just a bit to get the ideal 225-230. The 6" damper does have 12 1/2' holes that will be drilled out to 3/4" and see how that goes.Will update soon

Purchased several of these to install on my home made smoker for intake vents. Upgraded the hardware to stainless and BAM, they work great. Well made sturdy item, was impressed with the gauge of the steel used. Would definitely recommend.

Adds the look of doing a more professional job. Looks like it came from the factory and works like it supposed to. Very easy to install also.

I bought this product for my barrel grill and they work great..I bought 2 of them for each side...it took awhile for me to drill the holes...it's about 12 holes....but when I was finish they were just what my grill needed....thanks for a great product
