Art Therapy: A Calming Colouring Book

Different styles - no one theme - well thought out book
This is a very intersting colouring book and thicker than most others that I own. It has different styles of drawing throughout the book and is not consistant (but in a good way). I feel like a lot of thought has gone in to carefully creating each page and maximizing your opportunity to really relax while colouring in.As we all know there are good colouring books out there and there are bad ones too. This would depend on your reason for buying this book. It will take a age to get through one page and I feel that this is a good thing. If you want a quick page to colour in then this is probably not the book for you.It is not advertised as a "zenangle" book but it certainly looks like one on some of the pictures at least. There are many pages with repeat patterns that are blank, this is okay for colouring in but you can also make geometical shapes within these spaces yourself using a fine black pen. There are also some pages that go onto both sides (left and right) which I can't make my mind up if I like or not. One is of a butterfly, you can certainly be extremely creative and draw different patterns on either side and see them afterwards side by side.Lots of the pages have a colour background (not white like most books) and this is nice because you can feel as if your page is completely coloured in when you have finished. This is a great "soft cover" book, I do think that many people will enjoy the diversity of the style and pictures. The pages are not perforated.I have added photographs for your convenience.

Amazing.
This book went above my expectations. There are loads of beautiful designs to colour in with intricate patterns. It really helps when you're stressed out as you are focusing on carefully colouring in rather than what was previously stressing or worrying you. The front cover and back cover are thick card which I didn't expect, so very good for carrying around in bags etc as the front can't be damaged easily. The pages near the back are drawings which are incomplete so you can doodle your own patterns as well as colour. I haven't tried colouring in with markers or Sharpie's, but the paper is quite thick. Overall, this book is beautiful and helpful when I need distraction.

keeps the parents entertained for hours!
my parents both love this series of colouring books. the paper is thicker than most colouring books which means that there is less ink bleeding through when using pens and less page indentation when using pencils.the fact that each page represents a different style of art keeps their interest for longer than a book with the same theme all the way through.

Art Therapy
Purchased this book for a gift for mothers day, the book had lots off pages in with lots off detailed art work to colour in, the quality was very good indeed, an the price was very reasonable. Good for some one who has health issues an recovering from a stroke or other elements that need to improve hand movements.

This is one of my very best colouring in books
This is one of my very best colouring in books. I suffer from anxiety and depression and, for me, colouring in is the very best therapy. What is really good about this book are that the pages are quite thick. Would highly recommend.

Very good quality
A beautiful product. Printed on very nice 'raw' textured paper, very nice illustrations and further on in the book it has half drawn pictures that you can add to or elaborate on yourself. Bought as a gift.
