This blackout material is great, blocks out so much more light. Makes the room nice and dark, my curtains match bedding snd as lining had come away i didn't want to throw away my curtains. I ordered this blackout material expecting it to be thd same that was on curtains originally, but wow the room is so much darker than previous and they were meant to be blackout. So glad i bought this material, which id had this level of blackout originally. So if you are buying to line curtains, and you want a nice dark room, then this is for you. Great purchase and would reccomend this company, arrived within a few days.

Absolute sanity saver during the summer!My bedroom gets all the afternoon and evening sun, which is great until you want to sleep or just avoid melting...I was lazy and just pinned it up under my wooden blinds - and it was a hero from day one. Smelt a little ‘plasticky’ to start with but I guess that’s the nature of the material. Nothing too bad though!

Not happy with this product at all...I found the thread kept coming out and although in the description it says it works for roller blinds it’s was such a nightmare to do as it was so thick

-Compared to competitor's polyester-backed material which weigh about 70% the weight of this: this poly-cotton backed material comes smelly and highly creased which is not so easy to resolve, it's not just a case of pulling it tight as with polyester-backed.+The rubberised side of the poly-cotton type is actually whiter than some polyester-only backed material.

Easy to work with, but after a couple of weeks in the sun and it starts to give off a strong chemically odour. This has got worse over the last couple of weeks and I have ended up throwing the whole lot away and purchasing what I hope to be a better product from another seller. In the photo you can see the product is coated in a thick layer of something.

Excellent service and great material. Did the job perfectly. I was making some blinds for my caravan windows using velcro which I sewed on with the machine. No probs at all. Its a very good quality item.

I bought this to back up a blind that lets the light through. This material is about 1mm thick and a cross between rubbery and spongy - not woven so nowhere for the light to get through. Seems effective.

Great value material. I was very pleased. I made a curtain/blind for a triangular window that I couldn't get anything off-the-shelf for and it keeps the light out well. t was quite easy to work with too. You do need to rub it after stitching as the black-out material gets 'popped' through with the needle to the ivory side but it's not a real issue.
