VargoTitanium ULV Spork

This is a lavender spork.....it's fun....it's pretty....it's useful. Seriously, who doesn't like using a spork to eat with?!?(If you really don't like using sporks you should not buy this but I would wonder if you're human or not - just kidding) If you've ever used a plastic spork - this is much nicer than those so you should try this. Buy a bunch of these to fill your silverware drawer or to give out as gifts. Or both! You really should buy some. :-)

We refer to anything useful found in the backcountry as camping booty (think pirate's treasure). The first spork of this pattern I've had was actually an aluminum model made by Sea to Summit (identical to Vargo other than material and labeling) which I found sticking out of the mud on a shoreline during a canoeing trip. I like the spork enough that I bought all 4 colors of the Vargo titanium sporks. Being I handle 99% of all cooking on my camping trips, these have gotten a lot of use. They have held up very well and nobody has complained. If these were ever lost, I'd definitely buy them again.

This spork was Very special to me because I'm a practical dude and it was a present from my girlfriend at that time on our first valentine's day. She couldn't decide what to gift me and I said " I'm tired of asking coworkers to borrow plastic utensils, I want a spork". Used it successfully for a few years at work until our cleaning guy accidentally threw it in the garbage and I was forced to buy a different one. The only complaint - round shape and teeth at the front make it really hard to fish out last bits of soup or yogurt from the can - it just seeps thru. Better design is where fork and spoon are on separate ends of the handle

Color fades immediately. Not really too smooth so cleaning isn't as easy as other titanium sporks.

This product is both light and durable. It meets or exceeds my expectations for performance and is a good addition to my kit. The only possible complaint I would have with this product is that is a bit shallow. great for solids but soups and the like might be a bit tougher to consume. The handle lenght is similar to that of the spoons in my silverware drawer. so no problems packing it around due to size.I would definitely recommend this to the urbanite on the go, the weight conscience camper or hiker, and or the Self-reliance enthusiast looking for a durable light product for that "GO" bag.

i bought my husband one of these a couple years ago, he uses it every night at work. he dropped his first one in a tank of some coolant or something... tank sits at around 400* farenheit. when maintenence cleaned the tank almost 2 months later the spork was still sitting in the bottom almost completely unscathed. it was covered in muck, but the finish is still as good as it was when it went in. i bought him a second one while his first was taking its bath, so now he can rotate!

Incredibly lightweight. However, the finish is not what I am used to. If you have not used a titanium utensil before, it does not have a smooth finish like a regular metal utensil. That was not a deal-breaker for me, but might be of consideration to others.
