2400 Calorie Food Bar Outdoors Survival Gear by Datrex

Arrived quickly and as described.Package stayed sealed until I opened it and it traveled with me a lot over pro ably a year or so.Tastes descent. Not overly sweet a some I have had before. Some of the packs had been crushed in my traveled but the individual packs remained shut. After the main pack had been opened, I was stopped by several airport security checks. It does look a little suspicious to airport security to be fair.( i keep them in my back pack at all times) .Would buy again, and I will.

Taste is ok but the packaging is horrible, each slice is individually plastic wrapped and by the time I finish opening it it’s just crumbles

EVAQ8 are great people to deal with ,no problem with them. The Datrex ration bars are very nice to eat and certainly keep the hunger pangs at bay in a really very enjoyable way! The problem though is that the advertised vacuum sealing does not work. Air gets into the bags and therefore renders them unfit for keeping long term as emergency rations. (Hence the reason we have been 'forced' to eat several dozen !!!). Anybody else out there who has some should check for loose bags , open one up ,take a few bars out and then shine a torch on the outside of the packet---see how it lights up the inside! In a real emergency situation, if you were depending on these rations to keep you alive, it would be a terrible thing to discover that the bars had become inedible or caused illness. The biscuit bars are pleasant to eat on ordinary field trips or wild camping adventures etc. , but for long term emergency rations the Seven Oceans are better "keeper's ".

Tasted disgusting, crumbled so was very hard to eat without spilling, threw it in the bin straight away.
