On initial test I found myself in agreement with the other reviews. However... a helpful rep at Aervoe Industries (parent company of Max Burton) indicated that the power source may be the issue. I skeptically followed his advice which was"I am wondering if your vehicle/truck engine and charging system was operating the entire time during use? If it is not, you will see these type of results. Also, if you are operating the unit from a 12V accessory in the vehicle they may not be rated high enough as this product requires at least 10A steady power."With the engine running the pot boiled 8 oz water in under 30 mins and a full 20 oz pot was at a full boil in less than an hr.If you travel a lot and plan ahead by plugging this in "before" you wan't a hot drink or meal then this may be for you. If you expect this to make an instant cup of coffee you will be disappointed.

I bought this thinking I could have a cup of joe, or ramen at a worksite. But I was disappointed in it's performance. Attempted to heat 16 oz of water, but after 25 minutes, the water was only warm-didn't come close to a boil. The intructsions also tell you to run your engine while in use to prevent the battery from draining--so gee, I'm thinking if I have to idle my engine for 25 minutes, I'm better off putting a pot of water directly on the manifold. I guess if you want to drive around for half an hour for a pot of warm water, this is the item for you...

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! I bought this for my hubby for xmas, he works outside so I thought it would be good for him to heat soups at lunch! He had it on for a half hr and the soup wasn't even warm yet so he left it on for a few minutes longer and it turned off, he tried to turn it back on and it wont work! Needless to say It wasn't worth a penny let alone 30 bucks I payed for it!

Order this to take with me to a festival to have coffee in the am and it never worked. Tried it in several different outlets and vehicles and nothing, water would never end up boiling ....

This isnt a good product for Husbands who work outside :(The truck blows the fuse every time

Workered fine a week then just stopped working base gets warm but not the water

Did no hold up. Broke after a few uses.
