Perfect for speaker wire!

I used these to easily connect my pos-neg wires to it that feeds into a custom (DIY) speaker setup that I made that takes the RCA to wire y-adapter to the speakers in the enclosure, making an easy and efficient disconnect. I love using these adapters as it allows me to easily plug and unplug them without loosing the polarity of the wires to the speakers and not have any exposed wires. These would also be awesome and clean if you had an amplifier that only took the hi-level inputs via RCA, but still allowing you to easily take out the wires if need be, this is nice because then you don’t have to hard wire a RCA to wire y-adapter. Unnecessary if you plan on a permanent installation, but this is really handy if it isn’t permanent.

These were the perfect solution for me; kind of..... I had a surround sound system in my home for the past 8 years and ran 100 ft. of wire to each of the rear surround speakers in my living room. I then purchased a new soundbar, the Vizio SB3651-e6c to replace my setup. Everything worked flawlessly except for the rear speakers. I couldn't use the wires the system came with to connect the new surround speakers to the sub-woofer as they are only 25 ft each so I had to use the existing wiring, adding RCA jacks to each end. I purchased these jacks as they seemed perfect for the job, only to find out that the rubber housing of the jack expands as it gets from the plug to the terminals. The new speakers and the RCA plugs in the sub-woofer have recessed RCA jacks and these expanding housing connectors were too wide to seat properly. Ultimately I wound up having to do a little shaving of the rubber housing surrounding the connectors. I was able to get them to fit snugly into the housing but in doing so each plug is now pretty much without its rubber housing to support it and they are a bit flimsy. The fact that they are inside a recess actually helps support the plugs themselves. So, they work however you need to either make sure you do not have recessed plugs or you'll need to shave the housing of the plugs to fit in. Other than this little modification, they work as expected.

Overall good quality RCA plugs. They filled my need. The only problem I experience was I had to solder the wire to the plug. The product states it is a solder RCA connector in one place but states you can screw the wires on in another - so that's confusing. However, many of the reviewers and questions state no soldering is necessary. My experience was that soldering is absolutely necessary. There was no way to secure the wires otherwise without risking a bad connection eventually. Not a big deal because I own a few soldering irons. The soldering was fairly straightforward and everything works as it should. Just annoyed because I paid extra for a plug so I could avoid soldering.

Who is Moborest was my first thought as I browsed the many alternatives to the RCA-type termination I needed for my noise test. Now that I'm testing from home as a consultant, my access to unlimited adapter cables is gone and I have to resort to building my own. But, I did not want to use the spring-clip adapters and definitely wanted a screw-down termination for reliability. There were cheaper products from other suppliers but I only needed a pair and I was impressed by the product photo quality compared to others. I received it with the rest of my Prime orders and used it to make an XLR-RCA twisted pair, balanced cable. The product I was testing passed its noise test with no issues. I can't speak about long-term usage, but for the project I needed it for it was great and who knows if I'll need it in the future.

I decided on these. Made the right choice. you basically have one chance to solder them well. Even if you apply too much heat you can still make them work. What you do is take coaxial able and put the center conductor in the center slot on these. Then apply a decent amount of heat and rosin core solder. Then take the negative fold it back and crimp with the tabs. Very good quality the grommet on the back will fit the cable you may have to cut it back a little to fit. Highly recommended.

Had broken RCA plug on one of the speakers to the Logitech Z4, with the source of the issue being the wire connection to the RCA plug. As I do not have a soldering iron, this was the easiest fix by stripping out the wire to find the internal left and right, then stripping those down to fit into the new RCA plug (as these are lower end Logitech speaker wires, they fit easily), which you screw into place. And the speaker is working back to normal. To the others having issues with their adapter, I feel mine may be properly be working because the Logitech Z4's structure is the power being sourced directly from the sub, which is pushing a powered output to the speaker alone.
