Oasis Elegant Bouquet Holder - Silver Metallic Leaf Design

I have purchased other style Oasis bouquet holders in the past (not from this seller) and have had no issues. This is my first time purchasing this style so I don’t know if the sticky brown stuff in the creases of the leaves is “supposed” to be there or if this supplier is storing them in a way that compromises them. But it’s not attractive and makes them look dirty. All of them had it on them. It will not wash off with soap and water but will scrape off with your fingernail...leaving an adhesive looking residue. The bottom knobs broke off of 2 of the 7 holders that I purchased. As a floral designer, this really cut into my material costs...but I cannot pass these on to my Bride. Very disappointed. I didn’t try to return them since I had already tried washing them, etc. I tried to salvage them as time is money. Hopefully I will spare somebody else the loss of time and money with this review.

This bouquet holder is smaller in size and the foam ball is much smaller than the GALA bouquet holder. I like the silver coating because you don't have to decorate the handle. I like that it has a water reservoir in the handle. Presoak the stick. In floral water, decorate and you are good for the day. It's great that the bottom unscrews so that you can feed it more water in a glass of water while you are at you lunch/dinner and it looks like a floral arrangement on your table. Tip: decorate with fuller blooming flowers. It covers more of the foam and you don't have to use so many flowers. Roses are are great example to use!

If you are a bride thinking of making her own bouquet with this, don't do it. These things are hard to work with. You need flower-design skills. You can't make many mistakes with this foam. Once you punch into it, the foam gets squishy. So, if you change your mind and pull the bloom out, you can't really put new blooms in. You have to know what you're doing the first time.

The pictures make it seem a bit larger, and it's pretty dainty. However, there are a lot of great things about it- it's stylish, cute, lightweight, and if you're using real flowers, it will keep them longer. Use big blooms, or the green will show through.

This was very light, which was the reason I purchased it, but the silverish coating was applied very poorly. It was very thin all over, and missing in many spots. We removed the foam, attached our own, used a little silver spray paint , and my daughter in laws brooch bouquet turned out beautifully!
