Photography and the Art of Seeing: A Visual Perception Workshop for Film and Digital Photography

I bought this as a Christmas gift. The photographs are gorgeous and there's lots of good photography ideas. As the title states; it's about learning to perceive the photos we might otherwise be missing. My husband loved it and I enjoyed it too.

This book is all it's written up to be. Paperback so any to take with you. Good clear text and some amazing photos. Service every good as well.

This is, as many others have commented, a good book. It does encourage you to look at things differently and to see your everyday surroundings in a different light. It also encourages you to think of why you’re photographing rather than just what you’re photographing.I’d definitely say it’s one of the better books on photography that I’ve read.

This is the "manual" the camera should have come with, it tells you HOW to see what you are photographing.

This is a difficult subject to approach, and on the whole I think it is a useful addition to a photographer's library. As can be expected on such a subjective field, there is little hard advice, the purpose is more to open the reader's mind rather than laying down guidelines.
