Life Principles from the Women of the Bible Book 1: Speaking Boldly to the Women of Today (Following God Character Series)

This is a great Bible study. The stories are interesting and follow the Bible. I learn something new from every story.

A wonderful book for our Ladies Bible Study. The ladies really were blessed each week as they discussed each lesson and they shared different things they learned... or God has showed them. The study was well attended and our group even grew. Highly Recommended! (This review is from my wife who led the study).

I bought this so a friend and I can do devotionals together & it’s a great one. It breaks it down into sections and has a journal spot for u to write notes and answer questions which is hard to find. I really enjoy this devotion

This workbook's variety of insights, historical information, and opportunity for personal reflection make this a profitable study. It can be used for individual personal study, one-on-one mentoring, or group study. Each of the 13 or so lessons focuses on one woman in the Bible and is divided into 5 daily segments, each about 3 to 4 pages containing text to read and questions to answer. Though the workbook is likely used by mostly women, I believe its content can be applicable to men and women alike.With 3 authors, the workbook evidences distinct style from lesson to lesson. One author (though a reader can't tell which one) is notably more elementary than the other two. He asks readers to read a passage of Scripture and answer the corresponding question(s) that follow. The incentive to actually read and reflect are diminished by the author subsequently answering all the questions in his text afterward--which I believe becomes a disincentive for a reader to actually do the work personally. Though that author had many good things to say, his style made it seem he was less creative in his approach than the other two authors. This is why I gave the workbook 4 stars.

I love the Following God workbooks. They make you dig in your Bible. They ask questions that pull new insights and applications to the surface of your reading. They make well-known passages fresh again and makes the principles very personal for immediate application.I have used this workbook a couple of times to teach others as well as being my daily devotion for the 12 week study. I, as well as every disciple of mine, are eager to begin each daily devotion and to meet for weekly discussion.I highly recommend this study and all of the Following God workbooks. And by the way, you don't have to be a female to take this study of the Women of the Bible. Each of these principles that God has given us has applications for our life, it may just be different in the roles that we play. All of God's Word is useful for teaching everyone the truth, rebuking us when we are in the wrong, correcting us by showing us what is right, and training us to habitually do what is right. When we study God's Word, believe God's Word, and live in accordance to God's Word we will be thoroughly equipped for every good and loving work that God wants to use us in.

This book gave so much insight. It was easy to read and use for Bible Study.

Engaging chapters that make you want to study!

I absolutely loved this workbook. I have been a student of the Word for a long time now, and I found this material to be inspired, refreshingly truthful and accurate, and the enlightenment life-changing. I enjoyed very much the discussions containing the accurate interpretations of the referenced scriptures, and believe they were invaluable to the study. We often read the scriptures on our own as teachers or as individuals and the context and background knowledge is not there to fully and accurately interpret all that God is communicating. I do not believe I would have received the same enlightenment and illumination had I gone through those sctriptures in my own knowledge. I pray that everyone who studies with this workbook learns more about God and grows closer to Him. Awesome work!
