These are not a true red.
This is a nice set but I am going to return because they are not a true red. More of an orange pinky red.

I LOVE these.. they are VERY STURDY... more so than I had expected. Color is just as vibrant as the photos! I want to buy another set... just because! :)UPDATE! (see photo)... BROKEN! I dropped the plate and it shattered into 3 pieces. the piece catapulted and almost "put my eye out" the melamine is very sharp when broken!! VERY sharp! I seriously dropped the plate from about 3 feet off the ground. I bought these because I thought that melamine was unbreakable and shatter-resistant! I don't ever put it in the microwave and don't have a dishwasher so it wasn't because of my misuse. Now my set is no longer a set! :(I guess someone doesn't get cake! (no plate for you!)

They are not as high quality as I had hoped. Not microwave safe. Will work until I can replace.
