The Smart Plugs are shipped in a dinky innocuous little box which doesn't allude to just how useful and well designed they are. I've got a few sets of Smart plugs now, and needed a couple more to add more Smart Functionality to the house.The plugs themselves are dinky, meaning they're great for tucking behind cabinets or furniture. Ready to use, the app allows you to set timers on the plug to switch off after a period of time, or you can schedule the device on or off at any time you'd like, which is great if you're away from home and don't want the regularity of a mechanical timer setting lights on and off.Once added to the Smart Life App, the devices can be used through Amazon's Alexa or Google service. Once logged in, Click 'See WiFi Settings' and 'untick' (5 Ghz), leaving (2.4Ghz) ticked.(This is because the plugs only work on this wavelength)--Download the app--1. Download 'Smart Life' (Blue icon, with house outline) and register account2. Click '+' > Electrical Engineering Socket > Confirm > Enter WiFi password. You'll see a message 'Only 2.6 Ghz Wi-Fi networks are supported'(Oh yeah, we're ahead of the game there)3. Press Confirm > Continue > Connecting... ?%4. Device added successfully (Name this plug)5. With small baby with us, we want to be more productive in taking care of him. Hence, I thought of starting with changing the lamp lights of my living room to smart lights. I already have Alexa hence I thought of trying these smart plugs to handle the lights smartly. Most of the times you get to know the quality (to some extent) of the product but just having a first look at it. These plugs are of very good quality, very well made finished product. As recommended, I used Smart Life free app on my Android phone to set it up and pair it up with Alexa. There are two modes to setup these plugs, the quick mode and the APS mode. For some reasons, the quick mode did not work for me. Hence, I continued with the APS mode to set it up. It is dead simple, just follow few steps and it all done. After it is set, you can switch the plug on and off via your Smart Life app. I wanted to be smarter than this hence, additionally, I paired it up with Alexa to avoid using the app.I have setup two lamps with these smart plugs in our living room. Trust me, we do use both the ways of switching the lamps on and off. When we are holding our baby and going upstairs or coming down stairs then we give the voice commands to Alexa to switch the lights on or off (Alexa, switch on the lights OR Alexa switch off the lights). When we are trying to put the baby to sleep (holding and rocking the baby) then we use the Smart Life app to switch off the lights. Preity obvious, we cannot give the voice commands to Alexa while we are trying to put our baby to sleep. It is very very handy.I was so impressed that I bought the second pack (of two plugs) of these plugs. One for the kitchen lamp light. When with baby, we easily tend to forget switching off the light while coming back to the living room from the kitchen. Once you settle down in the living room with the baby (giving him finger food to eat, making him read books, slouching down on the sofa etc) then you realise that the light of the kitchen is still on. Simple solution, either switch it off using your Smart Life app or give commands to Alexa.I know that it could make you more lazy but for the current situation (with the baby) we are in, we get already exhausted. I bought these to add to my recently purchased Amazon Echo, They are very well made and a very nice looking smart socket, Not to big and bulky like some others i looked at,They blend in very well with my wall sockets, I can now turn off my lamp without having to get up and walk across the room! I will be recommending these to my friends.

I love these smart plugs. They're the smallest I've seen on the market - I did a double take when I saw the package and wondered if I'd accidentally been sent 1 instead of 2, as the box was even smaller than that of a single smart plug I bought a year ago. This makes them extremely unobtrusive and the round design is a clean fix to the issue with Teckin's square UK plugs blocking off the outlet switches.Remarkably easy to set up, and I'm a big fan of the fact that they work with a general purpose Smart Device app ("Smart Life") instead of insisting that I download yet ANOTHER uninspired third-party app for management purposes. They also work seamlessly with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, through the Smart Life app.A great feature these plugs is a manual on/off switch. This may sound like an obvious feature but the other smart plug I have doesn't have this.Will absolutely be buying more of these in the near future. They're undeniably a bargain.
