We subsequently ended up purchasing two of the solar lanterns. We keep them on our back patio where they charge during the day and glow beautifully most of the night. We didn’t buy the lamps to light up the place, but rather, for the ambiance.

I am beyond impressed with this lantern. It’s so beautiful intricate, I love the color!! I’m about to order lantern B to hang right next to it. Only MINOR problem I had was mine didn’t come with a felt bottom or anything and it can scratch if you’re not careful BUT I’m hanging it.

I am going to keep this and buy some solar or battery operated lights to put inside of this. However I should not have to do this, it was suppose to light up by itself by the sun during the day and turn on automatically and light up well at night, it does not light up hardly at all, you can barely see it, it lights up no pathway, it gives off almost no lighting, totally worthless in that aspect. I am only keeping it , because I can DIY fix it myself easily, but will have to spend more money on solar or battery strand of lights to put inside of it, hope they will fit inside metal ball hanging lantern, I do love the design on it though, that is the only reason why I am going to keep it anyways, even though it is a complete failure to be called a solar lantern, because it is not.

I got this as a gift for someone out of town so unfortunately I can’t return it anymore. First of all, the lantern is not pretty at all when it’s not lit. The gold color is very tacky and cheap-looking. The whole thing just looks ugly. It looks a bit better when it’s lit. We put it out for a day and it was cloudy so it didn’t light up the first night. The second night it lit up a bit, but it was kinda disappointing. The pattern didn’t show at all when it was hanging somewhere so we had to put it on a table so we could see a little bit of the pattern. It would also turn off as soon as we turned on a light! Would not recommend.

It’s pretty much the size and weight of a paper lantern. It’s really pretty though! Just plan on buying a good hook for a tree or putting a hefty weight inside it it’s going to sit in the wind.

I decided to hang these instead of potted plants in our garage hooks this year. The design display is beautiful. I also have a couple of more on tables in our backyard. I’m very happy with the lighting and the length of the time they stay light. They go on as soon as the sun sets. Very happy

We have a very large tree in our front yard. Below it we have blue LED low voltage lights. These lanterns hang from the beaches. At night they look like they are floating and a really great. Lots of compliments on them when people come over

I love this solar lantern! It looks awsum on my old rustic garage with my John Deere deco. No matter how much sun there is it always lights up at night. I would really recommend this lantern

As soon as seeing the lantern outside of its box I was dismayed and disappointed. It look very attractive in the picture. However, the one I received was not Gold coloured as described or copper as appears or close to it but a flat rough beige colour of no intensity appearing as though painted by an amateur. Also a vertical blackish stripe was painted down each panel ruining any chance of the panels looking nice. Very thin and light. Returned for refund.

Gave this item a go to see if the solar capability would work.If the sun is shining then this thing will last throught the night to the early hours of the morning, which was quite a surprise.If its cloudy, it still works just not as bright and doesnt last for more than a few hours. Nevertheless its still has some light generated even in poor lighting conditions. Definitely worth it.

I bought this lamp to give light in my garden but it only has one battery in it so dosnt give off much light. It's not charging up from the bit of sunlight we are getting at the moment so I've put one of my rechargeable battery's in it and it was a bit lighter. I think if the designers had made it with three battery's in it, it would have been much better.

But look tacky and cheap during the day, really badly painted and a bit warped at the base when they arrived so can’t stand them on a table but they are hanging up so I guess it doesn’t matter about the warp bases, however they look amazing at night, just ignore them during the day.

Great product! Arrived quickly and well packaged. I waited a bit to write the review because it was a present for a friend and I wanted to hear from her first. The lantern looks amazing and it creates an intricate pattern of warm lights on the surface it rests on. Very happy with it. I'm thinking of buying one for myself!
