Tetra Pro Energy Multi-Crisps - Premium fish food with energy concentrate for increased vitality, 500ml

Got a tiny tub of these free with a Tetra tank once and my fish loved them! They're a very thin kind of crispy circular wafer and they float down quite slowly so all the fish have opportunity to nibble on them pretty quickly before they have a chance to even hit the bottom. Esp in a community tank where some are more greedy, slower swimmers or struggle to locate food more than others. Although they disintegrate I would say mildly fast, they don’t actually turn the water cloudy or discolour the water. I find they just disintegrate into nothing if I was to crumbled them with my fingers under water. They’re quite small in diameter, approx 3 to 5 mm but they’re still quite sturdy in the tub. According to the instructions they’re quite nutritionally packed. I much prefer worms and raw foods, but every now and again I like a pellet or similar food for them to chase around and this is perfect. They gobble these up pretty quickly, but I can’t tell if it fills them up as my fish are always hungry LOL. Value for money as you do get quite a decent sized and full tub and Tetra is a good name. No smell really unlike other foods that are garlic infused as my partner sometimes smells it when I’ve opened it and whinges but this one, he never notices. Decent value for money as crisps are thin and the tub is decent sized so quite packed. I fully unscrew the lid to decant but there is a small and medium sized hole if you’d like to tip them in like a salt shaker. I prefer to decant into my hand then dispense with the other so I can control the exact amount that I’m putting into my tank, but I guess these holes are provided to prevent you putting your fingers into contact with food You are not immediately using - is a very good idea. As we all know, touching the food with wet fingers causes it to clump, mould or prematurely expire. Great product

Excellent value for money

Excellent food which all my fish enjoy. Easy to crush between your fingers to ensure a mix of particles to suit large, medium and small fish. I do think it sinks rather too fast, and so add it in several portions.

My all time favourite food for my fish.These are the best food I have ever given my fish. They leave the tank clean, as opposed to flake fish food, which completely messes up my tank with gunk.Fish seem very happy also.
