I have waited years to buy one of these. It is really a game changer in your ironing this hooks on easily. It’s adjustable and works well.

Not too many use irons but I still do. This keeps the cord away from the item I am ironing. It is made very well and I'm glad I bought at the great price.

So, when I ordered this cord keeper, I was a bit skeptical. In the product description there are three pictures of a plastic bolt used to screw the C-clamp to the ironing board, then three pictures of a metal bolt. The C-clamp is made of metal. Customers complained of the bolt stripping easily. Well, I don’t know what “engineer” decided to use a plastic bolt and use it for a threaded metal hole, all the while thinking this was going to hold the unit firmly to the ironing board. Ummm, no, that aint gonna work. However, my cord keeper came with a metal bolt, so okay, some improvement. I do have some concerns about the other plastic parts though; the top of the spring, where you must pry open the plastic “clamp” and place your cord into it. It may not last very long if you open and close it often IMHO. By the way folks, the iron cord is not supposed to slide at the top of the keeper, that is the purpose of the spring, plus, don’t forget to place your cord into the ‘Z” at the bottom by the spring. Also, the bottom where the spring is attached to…yep, plastic. All in all this keeper will work until it doesn’t. Hopefully, it will last a longish time. I suggest the company look deeply into some corrective actions to beef up the plastic pieces, this could be an excellent good cord keeper if that was done. I am rating this as a four due to the questionable quality of the plastic pieces.

I have put off buying one of these for years...wish I hadn't. I sew a good bit and do quite a lot of pressing as a result. This little gadget makes my life so much easier, no more "Fighting" the cord. I put a 2"x2"x3/4" block of wood underneath my ironing board so this had something strong to attach to. It does not move at all! Very happy with this product.

Poor choice of materials. Cord minder would work as intended if bracket swivel was made of something better than soft plastic. It turns easily under the weight of the cord and will soon strip completely. Very disappointed, I really wanted this to work. Sending it back.

Not as strong as I would like. But will serve the purpose.

I didn’t know that such a thing was available! My ironing really frustrated me when, after I washed my linen pants, I ironed my pants starting at the hem. When I advanced up the leg, the cord dragged up the leg where I just ironed. I’m just happy that this is available. I don’t know if I have it set up correctly but it is working.

A little plastic cord loop broke off the old one when I dropped it. ;( Now one replaces that one nicely. All the wrinkles are ironed out nicely... :)Good product. I just need to be more careful and not drop and step on it.
