Samsung Galaxy S3 Stand and Spare Battery Charger (2100mAh Battery Included) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

This is third time I purchased this exact item from Amazon - once in March 2013 and TWICE within the past week (November 2013). The first time I ordered this item, the product and transaction was perfect and I would give it FIVE stars. I ended up misplacing the charger and battery a couple weeks ago so I reordered the same thing. What was delivered was the OEM charger (I think it was anyways) and some knockoff third-party battery from China - and this was all packaged in just a small ziploc bag, not the official Samsung packaging.Even though it's easy to find really cheap knockoff accessories for a fraction of OEM prices, I still choose, and will pay a premium for, the official OEM products and accessories. Because I paid this premium for this item but received something less than that, I immediately contacted Amazon. They processed the return and told me to reorder the same item and that they'll make sure that the official Samsung item would be delivered.I ended up getting the item I expected and wanted but I had to clear a few hurdles to do so. Hopefully you won't have to do the same.

The battery charger seems to bring the battery to full capacity and in a decent amount of time. The original phone battery seems to fit a little tighter in the phone, but the included battery works fine. Some have said the stand doesn't work with a case on the phone, but with the lighter Asmyna SAMSIIICASKSO059 Soft Durable Protective Case for Samsung Galaxy S3 I am able to place it both horizontal and vertical without an issue. Remember when you place the phone on the stand you will need to open the battery case to give it a "back rest".FYI:When I went to register it on the Samsung website the model # was invalid. After a live chat they said they only registered US items. I was directed to Samsung's Cyber Center in Singapore! I tried to register it there and it wouldn't let me change the country to the US. This item was in its original sealed package with all English text and with the holographic Samsung Logo. It came from Deals for Less through Amazon. When I checked it out again on Amazon, the Instant Order Update; that shows I've already purchased the item, the charger is now being offered for 34 dollars; sold and shipped from Amazon. I am wondering if the one Amazon sells has the US Model # on it. In CA you don't have to register an item in order to receive the warranty, but if something goes wrong am I going to have to ship to Singapore? In the scheme of things, I guess I would just buy a new one, if this one lasts less than a year. I had no trouble registering my Galaxy S III phone on the US site. I realize the product is from Korea, but evidently they are sold under different model numbers in the US.UPDATE 4/26/13 While registering another Samsung item, low and behold the Samsung Galaxy S3 Stand and Spare Battery Charger (2100mAh Battery included)showed up as one of my registered products. I think the person on Samsung's Chat Line must have taken care of it or referred it to someone that could. I never was able to do it on either site, but it is now registered.

This is the second charger I've ordered for my Galaxy 3 batteries. The first, from Anker, didn't work. See my review about that... This charger seemed like a good bet, being a Samsung product and all, so I ordered it. Turns out, the package was supposed to include an actual charger - of course. Here's what happened: I unpackaged the little bugger, and discovered that the stand itself has no actual charger built in. There's a little USB socket, into which you're supposed to plug the included micro USB charger, BUT there was no charger included! Fortunately, I have several micro USB chargers. I plugged one in, and it worked fine. I got what I wanted, sort of, but I paid too much for a charger that didn't include the charging component! When I checked reviews, I discovered that a lot of people had the same experience. In addition, there were no English instructions. Would have been nice to know how the LED charging/charged status indicator worked, but I figured that out: RED = charging; GREEN = Charged. I'm going to call Amazon, and see about a partial credit for the missing Micro USB charger. They do have excellent customer service, but a LOT of their vendors - especially sellers of little accessories like chargers and batteries - are selling poor quality goods, often advertised in a VERY misleading way. MORAL: ALWAYS read reviews, and understand that what appears to be the same product from several sellers is sometimes not. I BOUGHT THIS UNIT FROM CASE SUPPLIES. Caveat Emptor!UPDATE: Amazon refunded half my purchase price, no questions asked. This is the second time they're done this for me, once for a crappy charger from Anker, this time for a missing component. Their service is great, but their sellers are not always the best. They should keep on top of their sellers, and vet them more carefully in the first place. It's nice to get the refund, but it cost me a lot of time. I finally have what I need, but it's been a hassle.

I have the Samsung GalaxyS3 and this charges my batteries perfectly for me. I ordered a battery online at the same time as this unit (it wasn't clear a battery came with this at the time). I love having two new batteries for my phone and I love being able to tuck this in my purse for travel and at work.Great unit, great price, great performance since purchase (Oct 2013, so 2 months).

The product worked OK. The only issue was the box, it was already opened and it was not like the one shown in the picture, so it did not look as the package of a brand new product. However I have no complains regarding how the charger works.

Only battery included - and had to return that (really needed the battery!) to get a full credit on the item. Not at all happy with this purchase. Had to enter a one star rating to give this feed back.

It is a shame that you cannot charge the phone at the same time, but considering that you now have an extra battery, you won't need to. When you charge the battery in the dock, it give it a better charge than if you were charging the battery with the factory charger. This made it all the more worth while.

Having a extra battery has come in hand. My originally, has been draining extremely fast so this has helped me get through until the end of my contract with my phone company.
