Victure Digital Voice Recorder 8G Dictaphone USB One-Touching Voice-Activated Timing Recording Mini Portable for Lecture Interview Meeting (V3-C)

I have had this item just over five weeks. Unfortunately I have not had much time to use this it due to medical problems. I did try to use the Recording facility when I received it but found the Instruction manual almost incomprehensible. If I had been able to experiment with it more then I would have tried to return it, as it is, in my opinion, unfit for purpose. I am submitting this review, therefor, to inform potential purchasers of my experience.The allocation of the various buttons seems to bear little relation to the manual. Whether that is due to a poorly written manual or a faulty device is debatable. Pressing the buttons as instructed does NOT seem to produce the intended results. One particularly annoying feature is that when pressing the 'Play' button a "Goodbye" message appears on screen and the device shuts down ! It would, I think, be very easy to lose important recordings due to inadvertent pressing of the wrong button. Having eventually managed to record something (in the supposedly highest possible quality) I was extremely disappointed to find that the sound quality was nothing short of atrocious, with a persistent crackling noise overlaying the recording. How anybody could claim that it is satisfactory is beyond me.Having found the device to be poor in that respect, I decided to use it as a MP3 player. I connected it to my PC and downloaded 2.5 GB of music. Then, having selected the MP3 player function, the device tells me that there are "no files". This is quite bizarre because upon entering the 'storage' mode I can see the 2.5 GB used to store the music. I can also use the Windows Disk Management screen to confirm that the music data has been copied to this device. So, basically, the irony is that you can load as many MP3 files as you wish to this device, up to 8GB if you want, only it will NOT play them, because it just doesn't 'see' them as being there.To conclude, I am now the proud possessor of a piece of virtually useless 'Tech'. I read all the "verified" reviews about it on Amazon before buying it and now realise, as so many others are doing, that some of those reviews must be treated with extreme scepticism. It is extremely annoying to have been duped into throwing money away on this purchase and I would recommend anybody contemplating a 'Victure' product to proceed with caution.

Great device - bought it to record meeting minutes. Can just leave it on the desk recoding away and then re play after the meeting just in case. Has solved a few problems for me so I’m pretty happy with it. It’s easy to use and pretty clear what each of the buttons do. I like the time stamp feature as that lets you search around quite easily - also you can see what time something occurred - as long as you recorded it.

As an impeccable voice recorder, even if the sound source is not high, it picks up the audio very well and you can hear it clearly.You have a headphone jack to listen to the recordings 8 GB of internal memory, no SD slot.The record button is very useful since you just have to slide it to start recording.The recorder is definitely an excellent recorder and useful for recording conferences and lessons.For what I needed I was satisfied with this product.

Loved the hefty 'take a beating' feel to it and its pocket size appearance (it's slightly bigger than a Mars Bar), only gripe is, the instructions were written by the Chinese manufacturer with a poor grasp on translation subtleties with literal instructions - you have to keep referring back to the what button is where page in the enclosed booklet and then forward to what function does what, (delete messages/ MP3/ memory etc.), and, as a bit of a tech dinosaur Its frustrating and I still can't find how to recharge the battery (I'm having to google it), so that's why 4 stars not 5.

I ordered the voice recorder to make verbal notes, this item not only looks and feels good, the size is also great (approx 110 x 35 x 10mm). Operation is simple, slide left switch for on/off, slide riight record switch to record on/off, play/pause & fwd / rev for play back. Stop/Delete button to delete files Built in speaker and headphone playback is good and clear. Digital recording is perfect. If learning a new language this would be perfect for recording and playing back new phrases. Very easy to load music so can also be used as a music player.

I got this August last year and have used it about 25 times, max recordings of 50 mins. It records well BUT almost everytime Ive gone to download them there has been an issue. Error messages are regular saying the hardware is not recognised. Then its not recognised to pay back via the audio installed on my computer. Today I had to reformat before my laptop will recognise it so lost all todays recordings. Other reviews I read support this so Im not the only one. Caveat Emptor if you decide to buy!!

Inpressive voice recorder, even if the sound source is low, it picks up voice really well and can hear it clearly when replaying it.. The auto voice function is a handy feature. You need to have a headphone jack to listen to the recordings and only have 8 GB of internal memory which is plenty enough for what I use it for (recording meetings, minutes and other unmissable discussions.) It is portable, easy to slip into my pocket.

Got this voice recorder when it was reduced in price, Thankfully I did. Firstly this feels bombproof as there is a bit of weight to it. Secondly the recorder picks sounds up at a great distance. Didn't use the handbook as it was very easy to get used to it straight away . Longevity not known but this device feels as if its staying in my pocket for a long time.Cracking little device for the money.
