The storage compartments in the box aren't particularly brilliant either so you end up with the pieces strewn ...
The pieces are very fiddly and it takes quite a long time to break the from the mould sprues, although you only do this once. The storage compartments in the box aren't particularly brilliant either so you end up with the pieces strewn inside the lid and it's difficult to open. Having said that it's half the price of similar products and you can actually play the game so not all bad.

For the price and the entertainment value it gets my thumbs up.
Some people seem to be upset about the game not making any sound like the original one from the 80s or 90s. I am very pleased with it however and bought 2 sets in the last 5 years for my nieces and nephews. It might not have a screaming patient but the board still jumps and shakes (making the tiny plastic bits falling off) when the metallic tweezers get in touch with the metallic plate. Does it look cheap? Perhaps so, but it didn't disappoint the little ones at all, very likely because they couldn't compare it with the original in the first place. For the price and the entertainment value it gets my thumbs up. Cheers

Great item
I purchased a few of these as gifts for family and friends children all age 8. They all bring them together and play. Easy to use, sturdy and great value for money.

Really wish I'd not bough it!
I rarely leave reviews except when compelled by an amazing or awful product, sadly this game falls into the latter category! I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the game Operation and certainly found it in this! I should have realised there was a reason for the difference in price. This game is so cheap looking it's off putting to use. It is just two large sheets of plastic covered in two stickers to give the appearance similar to 'Operation'. It's permanently on one batteries are put in as it has no 'on/off' switch. This game looks like something you'd buy at a car boot sale and wished you hadn't. In lieu of the buzzer sound the 'patient' makes an attempt to shake when metal is touched (although it's more of a jittery, involuntary movement!) Safe to say I wouldn't waste your money unless you just wanted to have a good laugh at how appalling this product is!

Don't buy
Very flimsy and very shoddy. The pieces are very small and don't fit into the holes properly, especially the ships. Once they are inserted they are difficult to get out. Even I could not pull the ships out. My granddaughter went to get some scissors to prise them out - which is not very encouraging! Also the letters and numbers across the top and side are difficult to see in normal room lighting, and you need to have your eyes are at table level. Playing this game is a pain in the neck and is best avoided.

Overall it was good value
The kids enjoy playing it. It's a bit lightweight but what can you expect for the price? Overall it is good value.
