Great quality, very reasonable price for high compression mixed with comfort.
Very good quality for a reasonable price. I have a medical condition that requires me to wear at least 20-30mm compression socks pretty much every day. I’m in my 40’s and prefer the look of athletic compression stockings (rather than the medical appearance of the ones made for edema etc...). But, the compression quality of the blue and black pairs of the Thirty 48 brand of athletic socks is just as good in my opinion, as any of the medical brands. They are far more comfortable and easy to put on than the medical grade stockings too. I did notice that the most recent time that I purchased the socks, the sizing options were different than they had been in the past. There used to be three or four size choice options, but the last time I purchased, there were apparently only two size choice options. I got the smaller of the choices, but that size was still larger than the smallest size I had previously purchased. It worked out okay for me (womanwith a size 8 foot) but, if you are a particularly petite woman, I’m not sure that the socks will be tight enough if there are just the two size options. I’m a little heavier now than I used to be, so the small/mediums size is working out for me now, but if I was 20lb lighter, I think I woul need the option of the smaller size that was previously available. That had been one of my favorite things about the brand- that the smallest size fit my somewhat shorter-than-average and thinner-than-average calf size at that point in my life. Now, the smaller of the two sizes is fitting my foot and just barely avoiding being too tall for my calves. But, I think this size might have been too big if my calves were still very thin. For me, these socks are s great fit, great value. I have pairs that I have had for four to five years, and they are still in quite useable condition with good compression and no holes despite many years of wear and many many trips through the washing machine..... so VERY durable and long-lasting. Lastly, these socks don’t cause itching for me! Any of the medical-grade products seem to be constructed of a material that I find very itchy after wearing all day. These socks still have a very elastic-feel, but don’t cause the itchiness that I,personally, find is common among the medical-grade stockings/socks.

These have been very helpful to keep fluid from building up in my feet and ankles.
These compression socks work well. They don't crush my poor toes like some have. And are well made. Very nice. Thanks.

Very well made socks / need a size between L and XL
I have never worn compression socks before this purchase. I don’t know how tight they are supposed to feel. I have large calves and size 11 feet, calves are develped from sprints and jumping sports years ago. I purchased the Large size, but it seems I may need the XL size. The Large size fit my feet very well. They are comfortable and they are not too tight or loose until up to my ankles. Above my ankles, however, seems to be too compressed. I have a very hard time getting the socks over my heels and ankles when putting them on or taking them off. It’s a workout to do so.The quality of the manufactoring and materials is very good. These are well made socks! I’ve only worked out in a gym with them and done some heacy yard work wearing them, but nothing for a prolonged time or a lot of leg work (except some running). They hold up very well!I don’t know if I have had any benefits from wearing compressoon socks, however. I don’t seem to feel a difference in soreness, energy level or athletic ability between the days I wear them and the days I do not. I’ll have to pay more attention, oerhaos the difference is more subtle that I expected.

It's a great product - but probably not for "beginners"
This is a classic below-the-knee strong compression product (20-30 pressure), made of the best materials for this kind of product - a durable and "comfortable" nylon/lycra blend. But it's probably too heavy a pressure for people unused to this type of product and might be a bit uncomfortable for anyone in very warm weather. A starter pressure might be in the 10-20 range, unless a doctor specifies the heavier pressure. A good lighter-pressure product ( and very comfortable even in warmer weather) is offered by Dr. Scholl's in this below-the-knee 10-20 pressure range to get started. Whatever you choose should probably be in the $10/pair range & this particular product at below $20 for 2 pairs is a very good value. Above-the-knee products are a whole different matter & if knee protection is important an ankle-to-above-knee spandex "sleeve" works very well with below-the-knee compression products. Most of these compression products work well with a thick cotton-blend, well-cushioned over-sock to protect the heel and sole of the foot, as well as the compression sock itself. Amazon seems prepared to ship this particular item extremely quickly, and did so in this case!

Great socks
I just tossed a couple of pairs that I bought four years ago. I wore these socks every day that I worked delivering food service products, running up and down a ramp wearing work boots. I’ve never worn a hole in any of them, but finally got some replacements because the elastic was done and they just didn’t stretch anymore. These socks tend to be a little tight. I returned the first I got and ended up with XXL, but I definitely don’t consider my lower legs and feet to be that big.

Sizing is tight
After recent injury I had to buy tons of compression socks. I bought 4 pairs of these socks all S/M. My foot size is 7- 7.5. These suckers are hard to put on. The purple and pink aren’t as bad, but the black ones take me almost 10 minutes to put on. Along with having flimsy feet and not being able to feel them, it creates quite a challenge. However, I do think the compression rating is very accurate.
