The leather is very fine quality: soft and supple and well tanned
The leather is very fine quality: soft and supple and well tanned. The stitching is impeccable on my copy. The only problem is the deployant clasp. It doesn't clamp the strap tight enough and comes loose quite easily. This makes me worried about the clasp coming loose while I'm wearing my watch and cause my watch to fall to the ground and scratch or break.

update: I think it is real alligator leather. it is less shinny than my other ones but looking closely at it, I think pattern is genuine.I am not sure it is real genuine alligator leather... I have several alligator watch band and this one doesn't look or feel the same. I do like the deployment buckle though.

Good Value. Wears well.
I waited two months after getting this watchband before reviewing. The deployment clasp makes a big difference. In the past, with a regular buckle-type clasp, the holes in the leather wore out over time and the watchband became loose and had to be replaced. With the deployment band the band is as good as new after two months daily usage. The leather starts out a little stiff, but before long it took on the shape of my wrist and is very comfortable. Excellent watchband.

It’s not made of allegator!
I purchased this band as made of allegator skin, but it smells like leather! It is worth not more than half the price.
