I love my Hozelock auto reel hose. I wish I would have bought 3 of them when I bought the original. I can’t find them like mine anymore. My wife kept sticking a heavier nozzle on the end or I believe the original connector would still be good. This works well!

Update: this is only half of what I needed to connect the hose. The other half is Hozelock Ltd 2177P9000 Conector. Earlier review: I had been looking some time for a way to connect a hose for my tap. The horizontal measurements were right but when the connector arrived, I realised that I did not allow for my tap's very shallow spout which is 1/4" in depth. I was going to throw the connector away but my daughter decided to give it a try. Miraculously, the 1/4" was enough to give it purchase. In fact, if I kept the water pressure at half strength, it does not leak at all. I've been using this for a couple of months now - putting it on and taking it off daily as I need the tap for other purposes - and everything continues to work fine. If only I could give this six stars.

It will never tighten enough.No matter how hard you try, the adapter still leaks. It's only a small leak but water running up (or down) your sleeve whilst watering your garden or washing the car is really annoying.

I put it on the end of my hose, put it on the tap and water came out the other end. You get what you pay for
