Good, strongly made wedge shaped wicker basket, nicely finished. Decent quality and well reinforced with wooden struts and end bars, this won't fall apart. External measurements: Front end measures almost 8" wide and just over 2" deep. Back end measures same wide, but about 4.5" deep. Total length just under 15" The wicker surface edging is about three quarters of an inch wide, so the internal dimensions are 6" x 13" there or thereabouts. Easily decorative enough to sit on a worktop in the kitchen, this will hold a large loaf, or a couple of kgs of veggies, a couple of dozen eggs or as a pretty display basket for cakes/bakes - will easily hold around twenty scone sized items for a stall at a fete or a market. Excellent basket for a collection of goodies such as jams, marmalades and biscuits if put on a raffia 'nest' and wrapped in florist cellophane as a posh gift, or to hold a decorative flower arrangement in oasis foam, as this is a good, chunky basket which is solidly made.
