Merriway BH04797 (2 Pcs) Bright Zinc Plated Brighton Style Sash Window Lock Fastener - Pack of 2 Pieces

I bought it to replace a part of the existing one. One of them broke before installing it, the other one is working well (I don't open/close that window very often).

It may be not the most secure and good looking Lock Fastener, but at such a low price, it is quite suitable for fixing a window somewhere in a storage room. Yes, the metal is not the strongest (the threaded rod is quite easy to saw), the fastener is not the best for every day opening and closing. But if you need to pull a casement window to a frame and fix it (to avoid any draft), this is a good choice (see photo). I even added 8mm nut to the end of the threaded rod to increase security of the fastener, since I don't have to regularly open and close the window.

They fitted well and looked ok until I tightened them and both broke. The section the ball part sits in is so flimsy once you turn it a few times it just snaps off. Not excessive either, just a few turns to close the windows. Terrible quality and they just don't do the job they're made for so I cannot recommend for this reason.

Seem strong enough and nice and easy to fix to a wooden window.

The tooth part where the ball of the thread bolt sits are very very fragile.For that I will knock off two stars. Yet I cannot find anyone else who can improve on this so I will undoubtedly use you again & again.

An der Halterung, in dem das Kugelelement ruht, ist noch vorm Einbau eine Zacke abgebrochen. Das sollte nicht passieren.
