Excellent Soy Sauce
I ordered some of this soy sauce after watching a special on tv about all that went into the brew process. I have to say that it did not disappoint! It is much more expensive than the regular grocery store soy sauce, but it is a completely different animal. The taste is much more intense and way better than the cheap stuff, which tastes like salt water by comparison. This soy sauce has a rich umami taste that takes food to the next level, and I cannot recommend it enough.

I didn't realize how inferior your average Kikkoman store brand soy sauce was until a side by side comparison. This stuff is so much better.

pretty good shoyu for a price
I did not like the 900 ml sized bottle. It should be sold in smaller amounts seeing that the flavor of shoyu begins to diminish after two years. Or so I have heard. 900ml consumed within two years doesn't sound like a healthy choice for one person. I cannot say if it is just an agreeable blandness or if it has a superior flavor.

Artisan sauce unlike any other
KameBishi is darker but not saltier compared to your common soy sauce. Great with steaks and sushi. Why so expensive? If you understand why artisan balsamic vinegars from regions like Modena fetch a hefty price, this brand is not your common Kikkoman. If soy sauce around the world had various grades, this is definitely Grade A. I highly recommend this brand.

Excellent Shoyu but refrigerate after opening!
This dark shoyu is excellent and very tasty. It’s perfect to add a delicious brown color to stir fried meets and fried rice. The flavor is rich with umami. The only problem is that it needs to be refrigerated after opening. I made the mistake of leaving it on the counter next to the stove. Within 2 weeks the shoyu developed mildew/mold island’s floating in the shoyu. It was gross. The smell also changed from a salty umami to a sour foot odor. I had to throw away the almost full bottle. Kind of an expensive lesson to learn. When I get it again, I will store it in the refrigerator next to the mayonnaise.

Best soy sauce I have ever had!! Well worth it for sushi and seasoning!
