IPL Hair Removal

I never leave reviews, but I felt I had to for this. I thought about buying this for quite a few months, but was worried that because of the cheaper price tag it might not be effective, or it could burn me. In the end I took the plunge and it has turned out to be the best purchase I have ever made. I have tried many hair removal methods over the years as I have long suffered, particularly on my legs. I have pale and sensitive skin, and very dark thick leg hair. My hair follicles are very red and I get small bumps on them when I shave or wax. Over the years I have usually opted for trousers or tights over bare leg to try and mask all of this. I have been using the Mismon IPL hair remover for 8 weeks now and I hardly have any hair left on my legs. In the areas that do have re growth it takes it takes at least a week, probably closer to 10 days for me to even feel a little stubble. The hairs that are coming through are now super fine, which is so much more manageable than the thick coarse re growth I had to deal with before. Shaving is now completely pain free and my legs are completely smooth for days on end. Im confident that by the time I have completed the 12 weeks I will be hair free. I was unsure this would work for me as my hair was so thick, but it has! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to anyone!

I searched extensively for an at home IPL and this was the cheapest I could find with decent reviews. If you are going to do IPL at home you must be willing to invest the time and money. It is time consuming. I have done it 3 times now and have begun to see some minimal hair reduction, will keep persevering. When you first use this product you MUST test it at all 5 levels on an area of skin and wait 24 hours to see if you have a reaction. There are some horrific pictures on here from people who have been burned. I have given 4 not 5 stars to this product as the time between flashes is slow and it could be quicker.

This was my first IPL purchase, I was looking for a use at home product that was not too expensive, as I was sceptical about its success. So far I am very pleasantly surprised. I have used the device 3 or 4 times, waiting a week in between, and the difference in hair growth is already very noticeable. I have dark brown hair especially on my lower legs and light-very light skin tone. Daily shaving was getting me down as without it the hair growth was really obvious. Already I am going longer between shaving and my legs are a lot smoother. I suffer with Keratosis Pilaris which cause little red raised bumps at each hair follicle, which means I cover up my legs as much as possible. After reading IPL can help the appearance I wanted to try it, so far some areas of my lower legs are free from red bumps, I am hoping with continued use to reduce the remaining ones. For the price compared to other brands I would recommend this device. I had read a review from the editor in Cosmopolitan magazine highly rating this model, which helped me choose!

I bought this one for my friends. She always wanted one. So i was looking to buy one but to pay 300-400 it was too expensive. And than i found this. It is not just looks like the well known brand machine but it is works same. Very easy to hold . She said the results was visible after 2 times. The hair stopped regrow in some places.

This has been my 5th session and I barely see any change. It’s concerning, as shaving has made the hair that was thin come back thick. It’s a painful procedure but I was willing to go through with it if it permanently goes rid of my body hair. I fit the description on the leaflet, mixed race skin with dark hair. I have 4 more sessions of this and I honestly don’t think it’s going to do anything, but it says 9 sessions, so I’ll see. If not... 🥺

I am on my third week of treatment on my bikini line and can already see a huge reduction in hair growth, very impressed with the product.

Very easy to use and great value. Quite large so difficult to get to the hard to reach places. Overall great product.

Using the IPL hair remover is easy enough and the kit comes with pretty much what you need. There are different levels you can choose from and it all depends on what you want out of it. It’s a painless procedure and it was easy enough to use. It will take a couple of times for you to get the full results however, in the end, it will save you a lot of time. I would recommend using the glasses included when in use and the cord is included and the length is good.

This is my favorite product in this category, and best value for the price. With regular and dedicated but not obsessive use I see significant results. I've shopped around - I have used other items that didn't make an impact at all. This one is easy to use and choose the setting (do read the recommendations, as some settings can be too high and leave a slight - not permanent in my case - burn). It's pretty quick too, and covers decently sized area. I travel around a lot but love this item enough to make the space in my carry on for it for all long trips!

I'm really glad I bought this product. I rated this a 4 star out of five, I rated it down for a couple of small things but before I go into that let me give you some background. I'm in my late 40's, female, with fair skin and dark hair. I'm ideal for almost every type of hair removal product on the market. Prior to purchasing the MiSMON I had a fair amount of experience with professional laser hair removal on both large and small body parts, on my face and body. I also have multiple women in my family who have had professional laser hair removal done on multiple body parts. In case you are unfamiliar with the difference between this product and having it done professionally I will say price, effectiveness and risk are different. So let's get into the product review. The hand held device is easy to use, light weight, and comes with clear instruction. A couple of things that I noticed and marked them down for was that the instructions did not appear to have been written by an English speaker. This can be off putting because it makes one feel as though the product may be cheap or unsafe however I'm happy to say that is not the case. I also marked it down because the power button can be tricky to turn on sometimes. I do love that it is quick to turn itself off when I drop it or improperly handle it. (Be sure to keep your protective eye wear on just in case though). You know the device is ready for use when it lights up green, my device does will not flash unless the green light is on which only happens when it recognizes it is firmly pressed against my skin. I took a photo so you can see the light is not green and therefore will not flash when it's pressed against my spread-out fingers. I also tested this on other surfaces and got the same results. This can be a little frustrating if you are trying to do an angled body part but it is a safety feature so it's doing what it's supposed to. I started using this device in June of this year, and followed the instructions provided for how to prep my skin, which setting I should use, and frequency. On my legs I was pleasantly surprised that the reduction in hair growth occurred quickly and noticeably. I also tried this on my face, arms, and bikini line but had to deduct from their overall rating because so far my legs are the only body part that seem to respond and that has slowed considerably. Now I just do spot treatments on my legs but I haven't gone back and tried other settings on my face or bikini line to see if a different setting would help. A couple of other things worth mentioning: When I had professional laser hair removal done it was always in a package deal of 6 - 8 treatments that were specifically spaced out to hair growth cycles into consideration. They also required me to verify that I had not had sun exposure, had used sunscreen (even in the winter). They also required that you not wax your hair, always shave, and they asked about certain medications (I believe this is due to some medications make you photo sensitive and scarring can occur as a result, they will not provide laser services to people on certain meds for this reason). I was surprised that these things were not in thoroughly stated in the MiSMON instructions. Last thing...I'm pretty sure this product/company is FDA approved, if not specifically this product then something similar, but I did not see that listed in their product information. If they are FDA approved for this device I think they should update that information so customers know. Overall, I'm glad I got this, I will continue to use it where it works and get professional services on my stubborn areas.

I’m really confused by all the amazing reviews. I’m not impressed with this at all. It takes 30 minutes for me to do both my legs, and I’m only 5’2 and petite. This maybe helped slow growth in my armpits, but nowhere else. I had laser hair removal at a med spa over 5 years ago, so I thought this would be good to touch up. I swear it’s actually making my leg hair grow faster. I followed all the instructions and have the paler skin, darker hair, which is more ideal for this. I don’t recommend this at all.

I used this on the lowest setting and I got burns! The first photo is about an hour after use. The second photo is a Week later. The burns left darker marks on my skin where it damaged my skin! I’m trying to get them to fade but no luck so far! I have fair skin and dark hair so I’m fit to use the machine. I even used the lowest level setting! I’ve never left a review for a product in my life, but I wanted everyone to know about this. I’d be super skeptical of purchasing this!!!
