Hotblocks Great British Made Sustainable Wood fuel 1/4 Pallet of 288 Briquettes (approx 240kg)

Using briquettes for the first time in my wood burning stove. The briquettes are made of compressed and dried shredded wood (pallet wood). The fuel was delivered promptly on a quarter pallet divided into in sealed packs of 24. Very compact and easy to stack & store. The fuel is relatively quick to ignite; I use paper and wood kindling rather than firelighters. Plenty of heat from three briquettes, burns cleanly and lasts well, with much less ash than hardwood logs and no tar - a weekly stove clean out is sufficient . Thinking of environmental impact, It's also good to know that this product is reclaimed rather than new timber.

Really impressed with this product. Delivery was on a pallet by the roadside so I had to unload by hand in to the house - quite hard work so be prepared. Lighting is easy, I just use firefighters with no kindling. Two blocks will burn for up to 2 hours in my wood burner with the air flow closed, but the heat is intense so the room is cosy even with such low consumption. As this is British made, recycling waste wood and easy to store and use I highly recommend.

Got these to try mainly due to their sustainable credentials. Well packed and delivered on a pallet, the delivery driver was very helpful. They burn quite well and you can either pack them well spaced to burn quickly or tightly packed to burn a longer time. Very little residue but can be a bit messy when handling.

Got a new wood burner and decided to try these out. Great customer service and quick delivery. We got a quarter pallet which makes a neat stack. They burn beautifully and don't leave a lot of ash. Will be back for more

12 packs=6 weeks. It burns faster than hopped but good enough.

Didn’t quite get hot enough, you can’t compare it to normal wood logs. Easily stackable but I will stick with wood logs

The packaging needs to be a bit betterIf you can store them in a dry place its fineBut the individual package are very often ripped and if you store them outside the wooden brick will expand and be useless in a fireSo very good product. The price/ heat combination is very goodBut please improve the packaging
