I've always loved the Blue Italian pattern and the set didn't disappoint....except that the Mugs are made in China. The set was well packed and delivered intact.

The colors are beautiful. I absolutely love this pattern! The fact that it’s machine washable is a big plus too. Quality is perfect

This is beautiful dinnerware. I especially like this edition because of the mugs- it's really why I made this purchase since these 'cottage' mugs are so difficult to find and so expensive to buy on their own. I like that the set is Made in England and not in China. I have some larger Blue Italian mugs made in China and they are lighter in weight and not as quality as the England made pieces. I don't like when this pattern is faded and vastly prefer the deepest, most brilliant blue possible. These are not the latter, but they are a good, stong blue, nonetheless. I tried my luck and bought an Amazon Marketplace Open Box edition of this set and saved substantially...All the pieces were perfect, just the box was a bit damaged, so it was a great value to boot. If you like the pattern, at whatever price, these are great-looking dishes.

I love my Spode Blue Italian 12 piece set. It was packed well and was in perfect condition. The plates are made in England and the mugs are made in China. Now I know for many this is very frustrating, and I must admit I wish it was all still made in England too but unfortunately it isn't so I will continue to add this pattern to my collection regardless of where the pieces are made.

Spode has been in business for 250 years and it's heart-warming to know I can have a dinnerware set based on the antique blue and white transferware from the first half of the 19th century for modern day usage! I can use this in my oven or microwave and if it breaks, I can replace it! Although the mugs were manufactured in China, I would like to remind everyone that the Dutch and English merchants of the 17th and 18th century were importing blue and white ceramic wares from China where it was originally manufactured for commercial trade. The British contribution was to invent "transferware" around 1750 created by transferring an etching on thin paper to the ceramic piece and then firing it. Thank you!

Love the dishes- very nice but one of the coffee mugs arrived broken. The seller offered to refund me for one mug which does no good. I asked for the set to be replaced - no response from the seller. The dishes were not packed in a secondary box- they were shipped in the original box. I’m surprised more we’re not broken. I would buy the dishes again but not from this seller.

The media could not be loaded. I’m so thrilled to have received the SPODE Blue Italian as it came as a gift from my husband (& more of this collection since I want a set for 24 of White & Blue from England)! I’ve inspected the items and none was broken. It came really well-packaged. Bonus is that it arrived a day earlier than expected! Would recommend the store & items bought. Both dinner and salad plates say “Made in England”; the mugs are “Made in China”, though. The dinner plate is “scalloped-shape”. I saw some & minor imperfections mostly at the back but I attribute those to being that it’s supposed to have as it’s handmade pottery.
