HEXBUG BattleBots Rivals (Bronco and Witch Doctor)

Ny son like it the first 2 or 3 weeks, after that it becomes boring. It is more now like for collection than to play. The parts dont last too much, easy to fell off the robot, and obviously is not like in tv. But the quality and design looks good.

This is a great toy. I bought them to use without the arena and we just drive them around on our hardwood floors. We love to crash into each other but also just drive & play around like remote control cars. They work like they are supposed to and we have a lot of fun with them.

These robots are a lot of fun. My son and I have had some epic battles. We have collected almost all of them, and I’ve had to disassemble and repair the gears in them a few times. They can be rough on each other, but that’s the point right!? Bronco is especially impressive. The strength of the flipper surprised me.

My son has 4 sets already and likes these ones too. The parts do come off too easy while playing, wish they were harder to knock off. Overall they are easy to use, they sync with controls easy. Also work good on our wood floor in kitchen.

Bronco’s flipper is very powerful and can easily send Witch Doctor spinning 360 degrees into the air! Witch Doctor drives amazingly and manages to top the old Witch doctor Witch used to be best (in my opinion) Their both very durable and overall just my favourite rivals kit.

My 5 year old son is obsessed with Battle Bots. I know these say for age 8+ but his grandmother got him the build your own bot and he did really well with that so after that the floodgates were opened. We got the arena, Minotaur, tombstone, witch doctor, and Bronco. All the bots work great and are easy to use once you learn how to pair the remote controls properly. Yes, the toys were expensive for a 5 year old but he absolutely loves them and we think they are pretty cool too. Bronco was a favorite but unfortunately broke after a week of heavy use. The small plastic axle that keeps the flipper arm on the bot broke and now the arm won’t stay on. Many others seem to have the same problem. Bronco gives a pretty strong flip (he CAN flip witch doctor onto its back) so I just think the design isn’t strong enough for the violent flip he can deliver. We have already tried supergluing back together but that lasted 3 flips before breaking again. Tried tape but that didn’t work either. At this point some surgery would be needed to try and drill a small hole through so a metal axle could be put through to perhaps hold it on. Not sure I have the right tools for that but that’s the only fix I see. I requested a replacement bot but since it’s the design that’s flawed not sure how long a new bot will last either. That’s too bad otherwise these are great toys!!! My son plays with them nearly all day. He begs me to battle him...

Bought as a Birthday gift for my son who has Autism, he loves it! He watches the TV Program with my husband so he knew what each battlebot was, I haven't seen him this excited. High quality and extremely durable. Definitely worth the money

We've ordered 2 sets of these and sent both back. The first would not pair with the remotes at all. Nothing. The 2nd paired, but then the remotes kept getting crossed up and one would control both. When they did pair correctly, the responsiveness of the remotes were very poor. On top of all of that, if the stars aligned and you did manage to get witch doctor perfectly lined up on broncos panels, they STILL will not pop off. These toys are very poorly manufactured and poorly designed to boot.

Bought this and another set for Christmas. 3 out of 4 remote controls do not work at all. Tried pairing them in a different room, changed the batteries several times and nothing. Since 25th December, I have sent HEXBUG several emails on two separate emails as per advice on their website and automated responses. I have texted them via Messenger and commented on their HEXBUG UK Facebook page’s post. Not a single response. 1 star is even generous. Just triggering a return and refund and getting something else for the kids.

Mon fils les aimes énormément et faut dire que papa aussi 😊 fonctionnent très bien! Petit point négatif: les batteries disons que comme dans tout appareils électroniques, les batteries des compagnies sont de mauvaise qualités donc achetez-vous des batteries de rechange aussi.Se sont des jouets en plastique donc les dommages ne sont pas comme à la tv. Mais très bel achat pour un enfant de 9ans qui adore battlebots!

Super excited Bronco got released for the RC battle HexBugs. Bronco is over powered compared to all other bots and now my favourite. I think people don’t realize the 3 pieces on the bots are supposed to fall off for battle play.

On the expensive side but my 6 yr old loves it!
