It's alright for a budget light
Still haven't decided, I uploaded some pictures to compare, so you be the judge. IMHO factory halogen high beam provides a wider angle coverage. The LED is also projecting square light blocks, so it looks weird, for some reason it didn't come through the pictures. But believe me, you'll know what I'm talking about when you'll install yours :)Don't know about the actual lenses for each LED block, but the outer (exterior) lens is definitely made out of some polycarbonate plastic. The back heat sink is massive, so shouldn't cause any overheating.Overall, the light is great. Will update if anything.

Yamaha Road Star
Update: Low beam went out on the freeway. High beam still worked fine. Contacted the seller and they sent a new one right away. Removed the old one and something is rattling around inside. Really like the light output so we’ll see how long this one lasts.Bought for my 03 road star 1600. Fit perfectly inside the headlight bucket. Very bright with a clean cut off line. High beam is even more impressive. They claim it’s 6000k color which is pure white, it has a bit more of a blue tint to it so I would call it closer to 8000k. Low beam projects well. The side light strips create a bit more “flood” light than I would like but overall it’s a great value for the money. I have used another brand on my Vstar and found that the light wasn’t nearly as focused and required me to adjust the beam down to the point I ran out of adjustment. This model didn’t require much adjustment past the stock bulb set up.

Good? Yes.
This headlamp has a wide beam pattern and decent cutoff. The high beam has good throw straight ahead instead of up in the trees but I’ve only tested it briefly. So far I’m very happy with this—both the function and how it looks on the bike (2013 Moto Guzzi V7). I was able to fit this into the stock V7 headlamp by using and modifying the internal support rings from a universal 7” ‘metric’ headlight bucket kit.

Headlight lens is plastic
Ok here we go. Just installed on my 2009 HD touring.1st amazon prime got the package to me with a quickness.2nd As I said, the headlight lens is plastic so if I would have known that I probably would not have bought it. I wonder if it'll hold up and if it will scratch easily.3rd Yes some other reviews probably mentioned it being plastic, it might have even been in the product description so that's my bad.4th, I didn't want to spend the extra $$ on the adapter ring and because the back side of the light is wider than the OEM I had to not only trim out the inside of the light bucket with a dremel I had to bend back the inside diameter of the housing that attaches to the fairing that the light bucket attaches to also. All this took about an hour.If you decide to purchase, and don't feel comfortable cutting on your headlight attaching hardware I'd suggest getting the adapter ring and if you don't use it send it back for the refund, at least you'll have it there if you need it.Having said all that, if the light lens was glass I'd probably give it 4.5 stars...it is a lot brighter than my old OEM incandescent.
