High quality earphones with involving, exciting sound quality
I wanted to write a more relevant review for these than the others (as they all seem to be from late 2018). These earphones came out in November of last year - so all these reviews stating connectivity issues are just teething issues. You have to remember this is a small company that won't have the testing department of larger ones such as Apple. Now for my thoughts. I've had these a little over a week, I wanted to get rid of wires as they annoy me at work dangling about all the time. I've had Bose in ear headphones for the past year or so, and once these earphones had broken in THEY KNOCK THOSE OUT THE WATER. I'm no expert reviewer, nor an audiophile particularly, but the bass is punchy rather than rumbly (which I like), the mids are clear and involving and the highs are lovely and tactile - perhaps a little sharp with the silicone ear buds (I'd use the foam ones). The build quality is lovely - especially the charger case, the aluminium casing is cold to the touch and the swivel-open mechanism is oddly satisfying. The rest is a matte-soft touch type plastic which feels nice. I'm a product designer so love a simple elegant design.I've had no connectivity issues at all - once these hook up to the phone first time, they auto-connect in about 5 seconds. And I've had no cutouts to music.Battery is good, I needed the best battery possible as I listen throughout the working day - they give about 5 hrs per charge and take about 20 mins to recharge in the box, which suits me fine.So to be honest if you're looking for wireless earbuds and aren't a "badge snob" then I'd highly recommend. There's a reason most review websites sing this product's praise 🤷

Great sound quality but some dropouts
I picked up a set of these after reading some very good reviews around the web. The earphones looke very smart in black and come with a wide range of ear tips including some memory foam ones that give a very snug and comfortable fit which seems to block out a lot of outside noise. Pairing with my iPhone was quick and easy and the sound quality is great which is the most important thing. I don't tend to wear them for more that a couple of hours at a time so the battery life of the individual units isn't a problem (after ~ 1 year). I will say that the case battery is very durable and even after not using these for a few of months during the lockdown, the case still reported 3/3 leds lit. The case takes a USB-C conenction which is good from a future-proofing point of view. Each earphone has a button which as a range of functions but I can never remember which earphone does what and how many presses are needed for each function (e.g. one earphone controls volume, the other controls playback with the number of presses dictating the function. I just use the single press to pause/play or answer/hang up and use my Apple Watch for volume and playback. The vast majority of the time the earphones wake up and automatically connect to each other and the phone within a few seconds of being removed from the case, but every now and again, either one or both don't connect meaning I have to press the button earphone's button to wake it up. Also there is an issue with dropouts. Weirdly this seems to only happen outside and not even around crowds. These tend to come in bursts and then settle down. Finally, there doesn't seem to be any way connecting these earphones to the internet to update the firmware. This is a shame as I'm sure the occasional wake-up and drop-out issues could easily be sorted out with a firmware update.Overall I'm very happy happy with these earphones and don't regret the purcahse, but those little niggles are just enough to knock a star off. I understand there is now an updated model which hopefully solves these issues. I got these on offer for under £90 which seems a good price. At the full RRP of £150, they seem a little overpriced.

Excellent sound let down by ongoing connection issues.
The RHA True connect were (and still are) my first pair of true wireless headphones. Having had them for well over a year (for my sins), I thought I would finally get round to writing an in-depth review to help others make decisions in this crowded market. If you can't be bothered reading this epic review here's a spoiler. Don't bother buying these get something else! What drew me to the RHA True Connect? First of all, I wanted a pair of headphones that I could use for the gym (once a year), commuting (to my sofa- furlough life), and had an in-ear design with earbud tips (i like to feel the soundwaves assault my brain). These had it all! Multiple tips to fit any ear (Yes even Martin Clunes or those of you looking like the European Cup), an IPX5 rating (a fancy way to say sweat proof), and some glowing reviews from numerous tech websites (Judas), I took the plunge- at the big sum of £140 at the time.So why then only 2 stars? (I'd give 2.5 if I could)The Good; The sound quality is a belter. Big bass, but not overpowering like a pair of D-R-E Beats circa 2012. A Well balanced middle and a clear, concise upper range, these headphones are adaptable to most types of music, whether it be dance (i like to stick a donk on it), ambient, rock (more cowbell), pop, or metal. I often listen to podcasts (big up Perter Crouch- Pass The Pod) and the clarity is great. As someone partial to a bit of Debussy and a cry for classical music or songs with rich arrangements the instruments can get a bit muddled. For most listeners though sound quality is boss. The general feel of the product. Everyone loves soft-touch plastic and this has plenty. Like a VW dashboard. The battery life for me has been great. I know loads of headphones have surpassed its rating of 5 hours, but if these run out of battery during a marathon you aren't running quick enough.Everyone loves a good box & unboxing (cheeky) and I can confirm this is a great box. Inside you get all the accessories you need, this isn't apple. It even comes with a lovely steel card that holds all the different ear tips and accessories. Like something, you'd get in a John Lewis Christmas cracker.Fit is great for my ears, the medium-sized foam tips are perfect and create a great seal (solitary brother!) and I've never found them uncomfortable. Unless like my girlfriend you have an ear canal shaped like the maze at Hampton Court Palace- ( year 5 school trip), I think you'll be sound. No lag or sync issues when watching videos on Netflix... sorry, Amazon Prime Video. The Bad;Connection Issues. Like other, more experienced reviewers have mentioned, and who I should have listened to in the first place, the biggest single issue with these headphones is the connection problems. At first, I had the odd dropping out of sound (very rare) between the right and the left earphone. No biggie I thought. Then they developed the annoying problem of each earbud falling to pair with each other. That's ok I'll get in touch with RHA. I contacted RHA who advised me on how to re-set the headphones and pair the earbuds again. Perfect no more stress. Wrong! The problem just comes from time to time. Usually when you least want it too. But let me set the scene, you haven't been for a run in weeks since the novelty of lockdown wore off, you are now a fat mess (thanks, Boris) but you have plucked up the courage to lace them trainers again. You get to the door, get the headphones out the case and they pair with your phone. You put on the eye of the tiger and disaster, sound out of only one ear (it changes between L or R to keep me on my toes). I then spend the next 5min or so putting them back in the case, taking them out again to repair, searching for the RHA manual to re-set the things. And by that time you are now sat down with a beer and share bag of Doritos. So yeah, connection not great and is making me fat (er). But that isn't all. As well as the problem above, the headphones also don't like to play nicely with certain devices. My iPhone XR and Garmin watch seem to work perfectly all the time (apart from the odd issue above) which annoyingly is why I haven't got rid of them yet. However, the connection with my new Samsung TV is so bad I'd rather listen to a dial-up modem. I have checked the connection with an old pair of Bluetooth headphones and they work perfectly with Bluetooth -3 or whatever it was back then. All I want to do is watch the real housewives of Cheshire( Did I mention I was furloughed? Don't judge I've got nothing left to watch) in peace. In conclusion, if it wasn't already clear I can't recommend these headphones. The sound quality, in general, is fantastic and for around £90 now you would be hard-pressed to get better. However, unless those connection issues have been sorted spend your money elsewhere.
