These BARELY hold foot rest up/out with bare feet. These are just weak enough to be really annoying. Can't stretch out (leverage over comes them) or wear shoes or boots (weight over comes them). After two years of putting up with a set of these, although not broken, I "sprung" $50 bucks for set of the heavier built FR 4 7/8 X 7/8 springs.

My recliner made a loud bang which left a spring on the floor under the chair. These springs fit perfectly inside the recliner. These are the springs that hold the footrest up while reclining. They worked perfect. It took a little effort to stretch the springs in place but now my chair works like new. This was an awesome $20 do-it-yourself repair. Be sure to measure the old spring (length & width) to ensure you get the right size.

Little bit pricey for a spring

Previous replacement springs, same length but slightly bigger diameter, would break after a month. These springs are same length, smaller diameter which gives you more coils. The extra coils allow spring to stretch with out breaking.

This was not an exact match for a replacement but it worked perfectly. It may even be better than the original because this one does not make noise when reclining the chair

The spring was a little weak

This worked well for the foot rest support springs on a lay z boy. The tension was a little less than the original springs but it got the job done.
