Keep looking
I used this case for about a week. I have since moved on. I chose the Ringke Slim because, well, it's slim, and appeared to be well rated and well regarded. I believe the average rating is too high. That is, if you want a case that protects your phone.Let me offer some pros and cons of the Ringke Slim:PROS:Looks good. It is minimalistic, the all-over matte finish tends to hide prints UNLESS you put hand lotion on or eat anything with any oil (cheetos, chips, fries). Then it will look awful.Feels good. The texture is a bit grippy. Like the Nexus 5, and WAY better than the Galaxy Nexus, which seemed to fly out of my hand at the least provocation.Cutouts align well. Where the holes need to be, they are. I'm the sort who likes cutouts for buttons AND ports, and this has them.Understated logo. Product name is small and unobtrusive on the rear. No big garish graphics.Inexpensive. Anything under $10 is awesome. Under $7.50, yeah, even better.Minimal packaging. Hey, for you greenies, a plastic bag and nice recyclable cardboard box. The bag was unnecessary, but probably keeps the wood pulp fibers of the box from scratching the case. I guess.CONS:Top and bottom edge are unprotected. I can't for the life of me figure out why a case would leave the front glass exposed to floor hits. Sure, nice to know I'm protected when I lay it down glass down (which I never do with anything made of glass or plastic). But when it goes flying out of my hand, and it will one day, I want left, right, TOP, and BOTTOM glass edges protected. With this case they are not. That is reason enough to keep looking.Cutouts are a bit sharp. I found the power cutout to be a bit sharp. I could have taken some fine sandpaper to it, but it seemed to work itself out by itself. Still, if you're sensitive to these issues, you may not like the edge on the cutouts. For me, after 3 drops of my Galaxy Nexus, each of which produced a sickening screen crack, a case has one true purpose. PROTECT THIS PHONE. And the Ringke Slim fails to protect the top and bottom glass edges. It looks good. But that just ain't good enough, as they say.

Great slim Nexus 5 case
I previously used the Ringke Slim on the Nexus 4 so I bought the same style for the Nexus 5.Pros:- Slim: Nexus 5 with the case feels slimmer than the Nexus 4 felt with the case off- Coverage: completely protecting the back, but especially protecting the camera when sitting flat, the case raises the depth so the camera is no longer protruding. On the front size, the corners curve and the sides are slightly higher to catch drops- Decently grippy: not soft touch like the Nexus 5 itself, but not completely hard plastic like the Nexus 4 Ringke Slim- Keychain loop: just like the previous version, there's keychain loop- Button cutouts: the button cutouts are generously sized and unlike the Nexus 4 Ringke Slim, the cutout bridges aren't thin, so they hopefully won't be broken as easilyCons:- Sharp: the two nubs on the left and right of the cut out for the microUSB port are sharp; I use my pinky to support the phone and it usually lands on a sharp corner- Removal: The Nexus 5 Ringke Slim seems like a tighter fit than the Nexus 4's version, but the problem there is that taking the case off seems like it could scratch the Nexus 5 body (plastic on plastic would result in a mild scratch at worst, though). Plus, it tends to get caught on the Nexus 5's buttons when taking it off- Sideswipes: Due to the Nexus 5's smaller bezels and the nature of Android, side screen swiping is pretty common, and while by no means hard or impossible, the case sometimes can get in the way of swiping from the bezel inward--Overall, a fantastic case, just like the previous model, with some improvements too.

MINIMALISTIC CASE. DECENT PROTECTION W/ LITTLE ADDED GIRTH.
So far I am pleased with this purchase. I already own another case from this same company for my phone (Ringke Fusion). While I love the Fusion case I recently bought a charger/stand for my desk at work and needed to find a case that would work with it. While it is very slim, the Ringke Fusion case just adds a smidge too much bulk to the bottom of the phone to where it prevents charging while the phone is in the case (just keeps the micro USB from making contact). That's where the Ringke Slim comes in. This case hits the sweet spot between protection and added bulk. It offers a little less protection than the Fusion case but at the same time I believe it will reduce the girth enough to properly fit on my desk charger without having to remove the case (won't know for sure until Monday when I go back to work). This case is very form fitting. It goes on easily and snaps into place. It is a little hard to remove so if you frequently switch the case on your phone then that may cause you some trouble. The other difficulty I have is with the buttons on either side of the phone. Most bumper cases like this cover up the buttons and offer a protruding bump to make them easier to press. This case has notches cut to expose the buttons. This makes them "even" with the case and a bit harder to push. Nothing major and not a deal breaker for me but it is noticeable.Overall I really like this case so far. I'll provide an update once I try it with my charger at work. (The Tmvel Charging Dock Cradle for the Nexus 5, also sold here on Amazon in case you were wondering...) I have written a review of it as well.EDIT: The case works great with the dock!Hope this info helps!

A slim case that survived 3 metres drop
I've had this case for a few months now and it seems to protect my phone. Either that or my phone is just amazing at not being broken. I dropped it while crossing a bridge, it fell through the slated bridge onto the rocks below (about 3 metres) and when I checked (please it was not in the water) the phone was fine - a few scratches on the side but otherwise just fine. I didn't think such a thin case would protect it but its fell several times now on the screen side and the lip of the device seems to give a little buffer so the screen doesn't hit things directly so I can say I've never had a cracked screen yet.

Highly recommended
Brilliant case! Comes with screen protector as well so the phone is well protected. Slim enough that it is still compatible with my docks etc.I just got my second Ringke SLIM case as after 18 months of abuse the old one was battered, and was absolutely amazed at how new my phone looked once I had removed this! Kept my phone like new for 18 months for under £8. Worth every penny!

Not the best design nor the best material.
Too rigid and not enough cushioning. Cracked after a couple of months between the aperture for the lens and the edge of the case. It's only plus was how thin it was......but that led to the above

perfect
Very happy with the case, free screen protector too if you need one. Best fit so far, feels great in pocket.Well designed and aesthetically pleasing.Puts the official Google case i paid £35+ for to shame!!!!Google one had the paint come off in 3 months and felt bulky.

Smooth and Simple, but a git to remove
The case is actually quite nice, despite my Four star rating.Unfortunately the case has cracked on the side near the power button, despite no drops. The material is nice and smooth, giving you a good grip on the back without exposing naked back of the device. The cut out's are perfect, no issue's what so ever. It works with all my Qi chargers as well.Just be warned that it is quite touch to get out of the case, so do be careful, maybe use a credit card to help pry it out.Hope the review helps
