Fundamentals of Building Construction: Materials and Methods

Great book, especially if you are studying for AREs. It's also a great starting point if you are researching a new material or dealing with a building condition you haven't encountered before. Like it says, it will provide the fundamentals. Every architect should own this.

THE BOOK IS FULL OF VALUABLE INFORMATION BUT OTHERWISE IS A SNORE. THE AUTHOR PROBABLY CANGED A FEW PARAGRAPHS AROUND TO PUBLISH AND KEEP HIS TENURE FOR THE WHATEVER ADDITION.

This book would be rated great, but it is an older version. But, I do like the review section of the book. Nice teaching material.

Great for architects and those studying for the AREs. An essential book to own and I wish I would have owned it at the very beginning of my career!

This book is useful for getting familiar with the steps and parts that go into a construction project. It also will teach the reader some of the lingo for construction. It is a very basic book to the materials and methods of construction.
