I used as a fluid head not a trail camera holder
To b honest I used these( I bought a few off amazon) as a fluid head.. Just unblot the part that screws into the tree and ull have something like a fluid head.. Some of u probably like this want work its built to stiff. It's made to hold a trail cam in place... Yes ur right but if u take off the lil bar that screws into the tree ull have urself a fluid head... No not a real fluid head but something that works just the same n basically operates the same.... Well u might wonder does this turn smooth enough. Yes just loosen the bolts till its suits u... Some of u might b well how bout the up down or left to right.... Listen all u gotta do is loosen the bolts til it fits u... Put ur cam corder on it n either tighten the bolts til its comfortable for u or loosen it til it's good enough for u. Promise u ull get the same results from this just as u will a fluid head... Think I'm kidding well don't believe me that's u... Everybodys different.. Well I record my hunts n have u checked the price of a fluid head... Yeah there up there so when I came across these I was like hummm wonder how these will work... I looked em up on YouTube there was some reviews on them n from what I seen on people's video that's was given a review on these I noticed they'll do everything a fluid head will do... Some of u will b like how. Well u can loosen the bolts on the side as u can c how this tilts downwards or up. All u gotta do is loosen them tow side bolts n its just like a fluid head.... It works perfect for me. Smooth up n down n turns smooth left to right.. Now I just have a regular cam corder nothing the pros used but it still gets the job done n didn't even come close to what a fluid head would have posted me.. I'll tell u what I'll make a video n post it on YouTube n u tell me what u think. My name is Josh grooms (my pic on youtube will b just a pic of a buck) they'll b several names that pop up when u type the name in but just remember a pic of on deer in the pic and it'll b just a pic on the pic... I'll name the video as "cheap fluid head" let me no what u think.....

why do I need 2 wrenches to adjust?? - updated
I wanted to be able to hang some cams a bit higher and angle them down. I bought this holder, HME "Better" model and a 3 pack of simpler hangers. I have the 1st 2 and not real thrilled that I need 2 wrenches to adjust the tilts. Be so much easier with wing nuts or similar type of tool-free bolt/nut. I will look to modify so I won't need the extra tools every time I set them up or adjust. They are rugged and HME does make good products....this one just needed a little more thought.UPDATE - it wasn't quite as bad I thought. You don't need to do much with wrenches once you have it "tightened" properly - you want it pretty tight so you can just move the adjustments yet the camera will stay in place. I did have a hard time getting the screw started in the tree (not usually an issue with HME).

A must have for trail cams.
I am a very avid hunter and have tons of outdoor gear. This to me is an item if you own a trail cam that works with it is a must have.I own about 12 trail cams and have a few different mounting systems. If you have never tried a mount of this type you are missing out. Gone are the days of searching for the perfect tree and messing with those annoying straps. You just screw in the mount to the tree and and point the camera. Really any tree over a couple inches in diameter works for this but once at least 12" seem to work best. The other brands and models that I have used worked okay but they didn't seem to be as sturdy. Sometimes it was hard to get them to point where you want to get them to point. With this model you use however many of the rubber washers it takes to get the camera to mount tight and face forward and then you're all set to mount to the tree. On thing it watch for is on some models like the primos the door will sometimes catch on the washer. This is fixed by either holding down the washer when shutting door or what I did was after attached take a razor blade and cut of the front of the top washer and the problem is fixed. After attached to the tree you just grab the handle and point in the direction you want and turn on your camera.I've never had any trouble attaching to trees but I could see it being easier if you had a small drill bit to do a pilot hole to help get it started but like I say I've never had any trouble attaching.I now consider these to be a must buy and when I get a new trail cam I instantly get on Amazon and order one of these.

Easy to use
This is sturdy and easy to use on our Moultrie Delta cameras. It does help to predrill a hole depending on the tree you use.
