Kernel Season'sPopcorn Seasoning, Nacho Cheddar, 2.85 Ounce (Pack of 1)

This review is for the Buffalo Wing Popcorn Seasoning. Before I say anything else, let me say: The flavor? YUM! I LOVE buffalo flavored ANYTHING and was very excited to try this one, because I eat popcorn almost every day and already loved some of the other Kernel Season's flavors. That said, holy fire dust it's hard to eat! It's not that it's too spicy (it's not, the flavor is PERFECT...just spicy enough) but no matter what I did, I kept managing to inhale just a tiny bit of powder when I was trying to eat the popcorn and it would induce a coughing fit. I tried using less of the powder (still good...but still coughing!) I tried using the buffalo flavor and then adding the white cheddar seasoning over that to take the edge off (helped a little and was DOGGONE DELICIOUS, but still coughing.) At the end of the day I've realized there's no way around it, unless you want to add the seasoning to butter and then drizzle the butter on the popcorn (and I'm not a butter on my popcorn kinda gal.) I'm sure this is a nonissue when you sprinkle it on anything that has some moisture (like vegetables, or if you added it as a seasoning in a sauce). I've taken to calling it a case of "orange lung". Guess what? I'm still eating it. BOTTOM LINE: Painful, but delicious. Order some!

Love kettle corn! My colleague and friend years ago (he considers himself a good "chef" type) were obssessed with figuring out how kettle corn was made and tried so many things to try and reproduce that unique and awesome kettle corn taste and experience. We weren't that successful, but made some pretty tasty popcorn discoveries along the way.We wouldnt' have had to spend any time to do that if this product were around. This reproduces that experience on the dot. HOWEVER, it is less effective on dry popcorn (as you might expect). So air poppers, microwaved popcorns, healthy popcorns - it'll leave something to be desired.Old-fashion pop (using butter or oil along with the kernels) and BOOM! Just like at the fair.

I've used and purchased this product for years and have loved the taste on popcorn; however, this last "batch", the flavor is markedly different and has the taste of dry mustard powder minus the 'buttery' flavor...6 bottles of YUCK that I now need to discard. The seller was wonderful, packaged perfectly and received quickly...it's the product quality that has diminished.

I have been buying Colonel Seasons popcorn seasonings for years. I love them. My favorites are the Nacho and the Butter flavor followed by the White Cheddar.I simply put 1/3 of a cup popcorn in a large lunch bag, close with a microwave safe clip and pop for 2minutes and 25 seconds. Perfect every time and I reuse the bag a few times and then throw it away.I spray the popcorn,lightly with a butter flavor cooking spray then shake on the seasoning. As little or as much as you like. To taste as they say. Be prepared for the "orange" fingers like if you were eating Cheetos if you use the Nacho flavor - others come off on your fingers too but not so noticeable.This is as good as a "healthy" popcorn gets. Compared to what is in the microvave popcorn you get in the store you are doing you body a real favor. All that fiber and it tastes great too.Love the stuff and will be re-ordering soon as popcorn with Colonel Seasons is my munchy of choice.

I like the Dill Pickle flavor, but the powder just sits on the popcorn and if you accidentally breathe in when it's in your mouth, the acidic powder hits the back of your throat and causes a little coughing fit.** The Dill Pickle flavor isn't as intense as leading brand Dill Pickle Potato Chips or even Dill Pickle Sunflower Seeds. Even so, I love Dill Pickle anything enough to give this four stars.**Now, I mix the powder with my melted butter first, and then pour it over my popcorn. That solves the issue!

I guess I am one of the few remaining "dinosaurs" on this planet that prefers PLAIN POPCORN SALT to flavored ones. Each and every retail store in our area offers several flavors, but not PLAIN (unflavored) SALT. I was sooooo glad to discover this brand (without artificial flavor) on AMAZON. There were other brands of PLAIN POPCORN SALT offered here, but I like the packaging/lid on this brand (although be careful with flip lid. I broke the first lid when it encountered my "heavy hand").In addition to adding this salt to popcorn, I also use it as a flavor enhancer to my homemade cake icing (as recommended in recipe). (Regular grain salt does not adequately dissolve in the icing.)Highly recommended product, although I would have preferred if it was offered in a 3 or 4 pack rather than a SIX PACK. The breakdown of price for each container was not exorbitant, but for some folk, storage may be an issue. Shelf life should NOT be an issue since the salt is well contained in a nice sealed plastic container, and it IS after all... just fine grain salt.

My four year old son loves "pickle popcorn." I got a six pack of these to stock pile for him, and they're terrible. He started coughing while eating the popcorn. I tried some and immediately started coughing. I'm fairly certain this seasoning is unsafe. I rarely rate things on Amazon, but this is more of a safety warning. DO NOT BUY!!!

This tastes nothing like cheese, more like chemicals. It doesn't stick to the popcorn, it falls to the bottom of the bowl.

This is the BEST THING EVER! Ok so I haven't actually had it on popcorn... BUT it's amazing on pasta (I'm wierd so have just been having plain pasta and soy sauce with lashings of this genius substance- maybe some tabasco flung on there too 😋), it's great on salads, posh's up super noodles- I'd recommend it to any other 30 somethings that still eat like teenagers really- if you sadly eat meat and fish you could also probably put this on those things aswell- I read in reviews that it "just falls off popcorn", and it is very powdery, but when coating my meals in it I've found this to be a plus! It tastes like cheesey crisps or paupers parmesan (though a tad pricey... but it goes far). All in all v.pleased- unfortunately now though I'll have to keep buying it... infact, save yourself now, don't become an addict like me- one hit and you're hooked- don't do it!

I used this on popcorn made without oil and sprayed a tiny bit of rapeseed oil on the corn once popped. Then sprinkled with cheesy flavouring. Popcorn was deliciously cheesy. The only downside was it came in such a small container. Could Kernal Seasoning make this in at least a 6 oz size?

If you love cheese in your food but don't love the calories it gives, this is for you.I made a cheese flavour omelette with this stuff and it was bang on - just sprinkled it on while the eggs were runny, folded it and you'd never know there was no real cheese in it. Result!

I like the flavour but it’s not very healthy so I probably won’t buy again. In my opinion it’s quite expensive also:)
