Oxford Dictionary of English Idioms (Oxford Quick Reference) 3rd Edition

A fresh and simple approach to idioms, the must have if you want to learn them ;3

It is a “Quick Reference” in the sense that it turned out to be less comprehensive than I had thought. Nevertheless, it is easy to use and practical.

It's an awesome dictionary, really helpful for translation students or translators that works with english language, its a must have! :)

Interesting and enjoyable. Being English and living in the USA I am always getting asked where my sometimes unusual turns of phrase come from. Great to be able to look them up.

There are not many example sentences. The index at the back with all the idioms by category is nice though. I got this to help facilitate my making idiom warm-ups for the students in my ESL class. I honestly don't know that this book has saved me more time than an internet search would have. I would almost like to return it if not for the index in the back.
