Great book! My friend recommended these books to me. I have read 3 of them so far and they have all been good.

Kinsey Millhone
This is the third book in the series. Kinsey is hired by a young man who she meets at the gym where she is doing her physical therapy to tecover from a broken arm. Bobby Callahan is sure when he had his car accident 10 months ago that someone was trying to kill him and did kill his best friend, Rick Bergen. Kinsey agrees to investigate for Bobby and manages to discover what was going on. Another great story in the series.

A Really Fun / Mystery, Light Read
This is, of course, the third in a series of related detective stories. The protagonist is a female private detective, who lives and works in California in the 1980s. She is an interesting mixture of femininity and a bit of the throw back hard bitten "private I" of the film noir era. The stories are clever and tend to have an interesting twist with characters making return appearances. There are also occasional references to episodes of prior stories that makes me glad that I am reading the stories in order. This particular story is about a young man who feels he is facing an unknown danger to him. He is suffering from injuries from an apparent accident and is also suffering from amnesia. Kinsey Millhone is hired to assist him.I completely enjoy these novels as a "light read". The chapters are often short and the reading can be broken into smaller segments without losing the flow of the story. Thus far I have always purchased both the Kindle and audiobook and read and listen simultaneously. The narrator for the first three novels that I have read is Mary Peiffer. She does a great job narrating and, at times, makes me laugh out loud. Having said that, these books are not comedies. They do have comic episodes, but these episodes are wrapped around a mystery. In summary, I have become a big fan of Sue Grafton. I am reading the stories in order. I completely enjoy reading these novels in free moments at work and at the end of a hard day when I just want a fun read. Thank You...

A FUN READ
As I read this book, I realized that I’d read it long ago. It was so long ago, however, and so well written, that I kept reading. Plus, I couldn’t quite recall how it all came together. The weird thing is that it ended so quickly! This is not a long read. But it’s a damned good one :-)

Unique Plot. Vivid Writing.
Third book of the Kinsey Millhone series. Unique plot and vivid settings and character descriptions. Skilled writing absent of typographical and punctuation errors. First published in 1986, but the use of "Chicano" is still dated. Dialogue about abortion is apathetic and unrealistic. A few other vulgar subjects fill one chapter, which are completely unnecessary to forward the main narrative.

Holds your interest throughout with a very clever plot.
I am a “newcomer” to this book series, and am very glad I decided to read them! This book is very cleverly written and an easy, enjoyable read. Kinsey Milhone is funny and realistic, and the plot held my interest throughout. The reason for the four rather than five stars is because the book is probably best classified as a summer or beach read. I did enjoy it, however, and am continuing to read other books in the series.

Fun read
Sue Grafton fans will love this novel. The nice thing about the series is each book stands on its own merits so reading them out of sequence does not throw one into a time warp.

Easy read, well written
I enjoy all of books in this series. They are well written, easy to read, enough action to draw you in and needing to keep reading to see what happens next. I feel like I know Kinsey.

Sue Grafton 'C'
'C' is better than 'B'. So far so good, original plot.'A' was certainly the best of the 3. I'm looking forward to reading 'D' !!
