What I expected! My friend has this as well and its great! You get a little bit of rainbow. I want more of them!

I’ve been wanting one of these for a few years. Finally got one, and it did not disappoint! I have about 10 crystal prisms hanging in my sunroom. They scatter delightful little rainbows around the room. But this Axicon suncatcher is something else. And I mean that both aesthetically and technically. Its rainbows dwarf the little rainbow sprites from the prisms. Technically, this is not a crystal prism. If you are a teacher that wants to demonstrate how white light is diffracted into the color spectrum, this may not be what you want. But it still throws a huge sunburst of rainbows. Each stripe is its own elongated rainbow of colors. It’s very vibrant, very large, and dramatic. (Would be great for portrait photography.) This, like all prisms, HAS to be hung in direct sunlight. Not just a bright window. It’s best to hang it in a window that gets morning or evening sun, so the sunlight hits it from the side. Overhead, afternoon sun won’t work. The silver hoop that holds it is plastic painted to look like metal. But if it’s just going to be hung in a window and left alone, it should last for years. I never hang anything on suction cups anymore, so I can’t comment on those. It does *not* come with a chain or clip or anything attached. I added the chain in my video in order to hold it better. Overall, very happy with this purchase. 🙂

Doesn’t seem to work too well. I was hoping for more from this. Still works and looks pretty, just not as dramatic as I expected it to look. Lightweight and the suction holds well on the window

It's heavy with a nice looking silver plated ring and they give you a robust suction hook. In the pictures it gives the impression that a dazzling rainbow will be projected on a distant wall--that is accurate and it is quite the show. Just make sure there is direct sunlight on it. I was able to see the colorful spires 30 feet from the window.

I hung this in a south facing window in Los Angeles on a sunny day, and my breakfast room was flooded with rainbows. I dunno why, but I just have to smile every time I was through there. Would make a great gift. Now, I look forward to sunny days more than ever.

This sun catcher only works if you have an east or west facing window. And needs to get direct sunlight so if you have trees or a fence blocking the sun at all it won’t work. I tried it in my bedroom which is north facing but it gets a lot of natural light. But it didn’t work. I tried all different spots on the window and not even one rainbow. It worked somewhat in the kitchen but a don’t have a flat wall adjacent so it looks choppy also it disappears after a few minutes unless u reposition the sun catcher. I really wanted it for my bedroom so I may return it :( the round one is good quality possibly acrylic with a plastic metal looking frame. Does come with a strong suction cup. The paper square one doesn’t come with a way to hang it so keep that in mind. You could pick up a cheap suction cup since it’s paper and doesn’t have to be very strong. The weird thing is I actually think that paper one works better. Maybe it’s the design of the surface. So I would say if you have an east or west facing window and that’s where you wanted to be then get it :)

I’ve ordered this a few times and I love it! I highly recommend this product.

I was a little leary about ordering these (bought 2) in case it was a true good to be true item and sometimes you never know what you're going to get from overseas but they're awesome! They are quite big, about the size of a regular magnifying glass and the rim is plastic, not metal and it does move around in it (just like the other reviewers said) but since it's sitting in the window it's not a big deal to me. It probably helps to keep it light weight for hanging. The suction cup looks small but it held the suncatcher just fine for the amount of time I was testing it out (10 mins, I'm giving it as a gift to my Grandma's so I won't be keeping them) and it's a good pliable kind of plastic not the overly hard cheap kind you sometimes get. It really did refract the light just how the pictures show! I will be buying more of these as gifts for sure, thanks for making such a cool product! They also arrived a day before the estimated date and were well packaged wrapped in bubble wrap and marked fragile. The product packaging didn't have any weird english translations on it either. The envelope they came in was from Israel but the product says Reseda, CA?? In any case I'm happy with them. If you have a close wall, the colors seem to be more vibrant than when the suncatcher is projecting onto a wall farther away, which makes sense.

La verdad me parece muy caro,son dos redondos de vidrio y en el medio un plastico iridicente con los bordes de plastico lo toqué con las manos un poco mojadas y rapidamente ,no se como se metio la humedad dentro, tuve que desmontarlo todo para poder sacar la mancha y me di cuenta de la calidad. No lo recomiendo.

Première bonne surprise: le colis est arrivé bien avant la date prévue (22 mars au lieu du 4/13 avril !), bien emballé et bien protégé, deuxième bonne surprise: ça fonctionne très bien, pourvu qu'il soit accroché directement face au soleil, rayons arc-en-ciel dans toute la pièce garantis ! Je pensais que les attrape-soleil étaient bombés/ en volume 3D, en fait ils sont plats et on peut donc dérouler des rideaux dessus sans problème, troisième bonne surprise ! Les matériaux sont de qualité, lentille en verre, cerclage en métal, et vous pouvez faire confiance aux ventouses, elles tiennent sans problème ! Enchantée par ce produit (les suncatchers n'existent pas en France, ou très peu connus), de la magie pour toute la famille !

Peor dinero jamas gastado, yo compre el de efecto cristal quedbrado y no reflacta la luz en colores aun y cuando los rayos son directos, un punto a favor es que me llego una estampa del segundo diseño y esta si funciona pero el producto no es lo que esperaba

I didnt' expect to receive a free cardboard version as well! Supposedly it's for your car but I just have it in the office now. It's really nice and I'm used to all the rainbows on the wall now. It's just a great addition to the living room and came in perfect condition! I read something about them being scratched or the "foil" being broken off. None of that happened to mine. I installed it about 10 months ago and I don't wanna miss it. The suction cup is great to it came off once a couple months ago but besides that everything else is flawless! It's also hanging on a glass door which is being opened and closed atleast once a day!
