BROTHERInnovis A16 Sewing Machine

Bought to replace my very old Toyota machine. Boy, where have I been! A machine ( I understand it’s common now) that threads itself!!! I haven’t used it much so far but it’s making me want to do some serious sewing! After intensive research ( that’s the way I rock!) I chose this model. Good reviews, ease of use for both beginners and intermediate users. It has enough stitches and I love the fact that the bobbin is on top not on the side. The machine can be used with or without the pedal. Pricing was good too (£389) at the time of purchase for a machine with enough pluses, extra bits etc and computerised. I’m very pleased.My only beef is with Amazon delivery system. I had given the option to hide it behind my recycling if I wasn’t home. Instead it was left right in front of my door for everyone to see!!! Thank God my video door bell had alerted me and I got a neighbour to run over and grab it for me! Not impressed as it’s not the first time this has happened.

This machine has surpassed my expectations. It’s sew beautifully and very quietly. It is quite solid and stable. It has lots of extras such as I can use 3speeds. It’s easy to use the self threader. I love the lock stitch that I can use at the start of stitching and at the end. It’s not as lightweight as some machines but it’s not too heavy to lift. I love this . It’s a good all rounder. I haven’t seen any jeans with it yet but I have been assured that it would cope with the hem using correct needles .

I bought this when my old machine broke. I had read the reviews and agree it’s a great machine. Perfect for beginners safe enough to let my granddaughter use it. Highly recommend

I like everything about it. Easy to use, very quiet machine. I’m 72 and a beginner. I would definitely recommend this machine.

It's many years since I made anything on a sewing machine but I got back into it very quickly with this machine. It threads the needle for you which is an absolute godsend. (I have to add here that once the needle refused to be threaded and I had to change the needle, and once the threading mechanism jammed for no reason. It righted itself however after I turned the machine off and counted to 100!!) The buttonhole foot I absolutely love, and I enjoy using the machine manually rather than with the foot pedal, its so much easier to control the speed. The only slight problem I've had is changing the needle.... I find the best way is to lay the machine on its back so I can see what I'm doing, and hold the needle (taking out and putting in) with a small pair of pliers.I am really pleased I bought this machine, it's not cheap, but it's very good value.

Well worth the money. Bought this yesterday, no experience really..easy to use. No hassle threading the needle and different speeds. Absolutely love this machine

I love this sewing machine it is so easy to use I already have a more complex brother which I enjoy using but for simple tasks this one is great
