One of my faves!
I've read this book many times over the years. Sophie Kinsella is one of my favorite fiction authors and this is one of my favorite books by her. It's a quick easy read and super entertaining! I always recommend it when someone is looking for a fun book.

Trying to remember who you really are
Remember Me? happens to be the first Sophie Kinsella book that I have ever read but definitely not the last.Lexi Smart is 25 years old and works for a carpet manufacturer. She is going through a quarterlife crisis with a loser boyfriend and a menial low end job, but she still has her best girlfriends whom she parties and hangs out with. We meet Lexi on the night before her father's funeral out with her friends when she has a nasty fall and gets a bump on the head. She wakes up in a hospital bed the next day and has no recollection of the night before. She looks in a mirror and has no recollection of the face before her. She is no longer snaggled tooth, her hair is no longer mousy brown, she is the best shape of her life, and has a Luis Vitton purse. She can't remember who this person in front of her is and how she came to look this good overnight. She actually wakes up and it is really 3 years in the future and she is 28. She had been in a car accident in her Mercedes and has had a nasty bump on her head causing amnesia. She can only remember the events of her life up to the night of her father's funeral three years ago. She wakes up to a life that one can only dream of. She is married to a handsome wealthy man, moved up to a senior manager position in the carpet company, and lives in a huge loft with all the designer clothes and accessories one can dream about. The question remains is how this cinderella life came to be, but of course she can't remember. She journeys through her present life trying to find out if this cinderella life is all that it seems to be. Those around her try to fill in the missing pieces of her life as best they can. She has changed her appearance, is no longer friends with her best friends, everyone hates her at work and thinks she is the boss from hell, she has supposedly had an affair with her husband's friend and coworker, and her mother and younger sister are different. Her life is a mess and she is trying to come terms with who she is and is she really happy in this life. The old Lexi was happy and carefree but the new Lexi doesn't seem a right fit to her.The journey that Lexi goes on keeps you entertained and in suspense. There are quirky characters, such as Fi (one of her best friends), Eric (her dream husband), Jon (her lover), Lexi's mother and sister, and Loser Dave (her ex-boyfriend) that Kinsella is known for. The reader wants to know what happened in Lexi's life in the 3 years that are missing and what this means to her present life and future. Will she stay in the present cinderella life or find the life that will make her happy like she was before? One will have to read this enjoyable book to find out.

Poorly developed characters
It breaks my heart especially coming of off 2 great Sophie Kinsella books. The Party Crasher and My not so perfect life were aaamazing. So I was so excited to read a 3rd book by her. Sadly third time was not a charm. First off, the book starts you off running. You get like 10 pages of backstory that is all compiled around a single event. Those pages were full of inner dialogue that was very fast passed and I felt like I was being pushed through the read. Characters are mentioned but not developed in the slightest. She wakes up without any recollection of the past three years becuase of her amnesia after an accident. It all feels a little “13 going on 30” where she wakes up and has this “amazing” life. I thought there was going to be a little magical element, but no. She apparently does lose her memory. Either way her mother is not the best, her little sister is horrible as are her “friends”, her husband is a control freak and shes having an affair. Yet, again they rush you through every part! You can’t savor the characters. I couldn’t even form an opinion on the main character herself as even she felt rushed. I feel like there was no deeper point to her losing her memory. It doesn’t lead to any type of plot resolution. She apparently gets her “friends” back, who themselves accept that they were mainly just jeoulous of her success. I literally finished the book and went, “what did I just read?” With a heavy heart do I give it 2 stars. It deserves 1 but I added the second one just becuase I loved the first 2 books so very much.

Out of an overused made for Tv movie plot comes Kinsella's best novel yet
It's a tried and true made for TV movie theme.Someone, usually someone down on their luck like the ugly girl in high school or the miserable kid, makes a wish that they were all grown up. And then presto-they are! It's X amount of years in the future and suddenly they are an adult and have become beautiful, popular and have a wonderful life. But that doesn't mean they're prepared to deal with it.Sophie Kinsella has taken this common and (frankly) overused plot line and remade it into a wonderful, hilarious, romantic and hugely touching novel that is really her best work yet.Lexi Smart has an entry level job and no yearly bonus, a boyfriend who everyone calls loser Dave, snaggly teeth and her father's funeral to attend in the morning. She doesn't make a wish for a better life, but she does fall on her head. And wakes up in the hospital with a great body, perfect teeth, a fantastic job, the perfect husband and no memory of the last three years. It seems perfect at first. Her life is great on the surface. She's rich, good looking and married to a millionaire Greek god. But as she gets to know her new life she realizes that she is missing from it. The new Lexi is dramatically different from the old and not only in appearance. Nowhere is there any trace of the girl she once was-and, thanks to a bump on the head, is again.Until she learns that this self has secrets-huge secrets which may be her only hope of getting the world to remember the girl Lexi Smart used to be."Remember Me?" is by far the best novel Sophie Kinsella has written to date. It is just amazing! I laughed out loud, felt Lexi's initial joy and later frustration and anger and swooned at the romance. This book has propelled Kinsella out of the chick lit genera and into the category of just plain old great novels. I recommend this to everyone. My only complaint is that the book can be read in several hours-and I wanted more!Five stars.

'Mont Blanc' anyone? Haha
Well, this book. Let me tell you the story…I first read it about 8/9 years ago and the storyline stuck with me; twenty-something woman, in an awful accident, loses three years of memory and has to fit into a new ‘perfect’ life of luxury ‘loft style living’, marriage and leadership when really she is more used to comfort, unreliable boyfriends and taking a backseat. As her life continues in this new world, things start to unravel and she begins to notice that things aren’t as perfect as she first thought. I loved the whole concept of the story.Fast-forward to present day, I keep seeing Sophie Kinsella’s name floating about being recommended online. I see her books in shops. Some of my own books were being compared to hers. She was everywhere and I planned on researching and reading some of her books to see what the big deal was. Then, I had an urge to re-read ‘Remember Me’ and what do I find? Sophie bloomin’ Kinsella! She was already an author that I loved! So, I did an Amazon order for 3 of her books. This one, and two I’d never read before. I had to read this one first and I whizzed through it. Even though I knew what was going to happen, the last section had me hooked as though I’d never read it before and my heart was racing as the end neared.Filled with marriage manuals, uncontrollable whippets and a ‘Mont Blanc’, this is an absolute perfect read filled with humour, desire and the right about of chick-lit cringe.

Lovely story, easy reading
I am a fan of Sophie Kinsella especially when I want an easy read which is very funny. I assumed from the brief reviews that this book was "Hilarious" and I would "laugh and gasp on every page". So when reading, I thought I was reading the wrong reviews! The storyline is different and well written. I enjoyed it very much even though the ending was fairly predictable. However, it was not hilarious and I did not laugh a lot. I liked the story as it was interesting and would definitely recommend it - I gave 5 stars - but it is not the usual type of Sophie Kinsella book. I think it is better than most.

Enjoyable book
I really enjoyed this book and finished it within a few days. I think this is one of Sophie Kinsella’s better books, so if you usually enjoy her books then you’ll definitely like this one.

fantastic
Loved the story and wish it hadn’t ended where it did. I need to know more , did she live happily with Jon?, did she smash the business world and rub it in the old companies faces? What happened to her husband in the end ? It’s left me so invested in lexi’s life

Love the story
Lexi is on a night out with her best friends from work. It's her absent dads funeral in the morning, her job is rubbish, she didn't get a bonus this year and life isn't looking too great when to top it off she falls over and hits her head. Lexi wakes up thinking it is the next day only to find herself in hospital. As she takes in her surroundings, her new false nails, designer handbag and new slim body she realises something is obviously not quite right. Really it is actually three years from that night and Lexi doesn't remember a thing. It turns out she now has perfect hair, body and teeth, is married to a multi millionaire and is the boss of her old friends and an absolute bitch at that. Lexi has to try and get used to this life that she doesn't remember when another shock is brought to her knowledge - Lexi has been having an affair and was planning on leaving her apparently perfect husband.A wonderful story and a perfect holiday read. I love most of Sophie Kinsella books and is is one of the ones I frequently read again when I want something easy and light hearted to read.
