Bastien Piano Basics: Piano Level 1

I'm in love with this course. I'm surprised it isn't more popular. It's easy to follow, the songs are fun and sound more interesting than your typical exercises and silly songs, and the pace is just what I wanted: not too slow and not overwhelmingly fast. If you want a slower course, I'd recommend Faber, though. Another thing I liked is the large notes and the overall layout (I didn't like how cluttered Faber's book is). Each lesson teaches you something new: staccato, legato, changing your hands position, flats and sharps, etc. I've finished this book yesterday and ordered Book 2!

Maravilhoso, recomendo adquirir o de técnica e recital, pois também são excelentes e complementam a aprendizagem. Conheci no canal piano depois dos 30 e estou desenvolvendo muito no piano.

It’s a piano book my son is working through for his lessons. Decent quality and suitable for a 6-9 year old but possibly dated tunes and images

The piano teacher requested this book, luckily found it on Amazon for a great price.

As a piano teacher, I am most satisfied with this book. The Bastien method may be older, but it works! The concepts are introduced at the right pace, and reinforced/reviewed. The colorful pictures in these books are fun and engaging. I actually like these pictures better than the Piano Adventures ones, although these books are older. (Note: As in the previous book, one song has the word "gee" in it, which we changed with white-out.)
