I have several camera bodies and lenses that mount directly to a tripod. The 60mm gives extra room to balance the load and to attach a variety of devices. It's well made, attractive and has safety screws, a real plus.

So I recently lost my 2 mounts, went to best buy and of course they don't sell arca swiss without the tripod. I was able to modify an RC2 to do what I needed as I was using a short lens.Amazon has 60mm for half of this price but they don't have the bump stop for stability (it's actually pretty cool). I like that they have several sizes so I can dedicate one for each lens. Also the loop hole is pretty cool. I don't know if I'll actually use it on a lens, but its nice to have the option. I'm sure I'll be getting more of these.--(update)The bottom screws remove so the plate will sit flat on a table. Haoge also makes one like this, its more elegant and expensive. But because of the price and screw, I'm going to also try the Colorado 40mm and buy a couple more of the 60mm to dedicate for lens mounts.

I needed a plate with a loop slot to attach the bottom of my hand strap and this works perfectly. As a general-purpose Arc plate, it also works perfectly with my tripod and monopod heads.

Ok, I know I should not use puns, but the new plates seem to slip. I end up having to reset them all the time. With the old plates, I could walk around with my lens or camera attached to the tripod. Not so much anymore; within minutes of use, it starts slipping and sliding.Not sure what changed; they look and feel identical besides the color.

I find this to be better than the name brands. High craftsmanship and holds up well to abuse in the field.

Seems like a quality product but it did not fit my tripod and I received it today to test it. After knowing it won’t fit I wanted to return and it said no returns. Had I have known I would have saved my money. Recommend if you know it fits. Otherwise save your money!!!

I bought this specifically to work with my peak design shoulder strap as a cross body alternative to my black rapid strap. I really loved my black rapid strap except for the fact that you had to disconnect the strap to put the camera on the tripod. This plate works great in that it allows me to attach the PD dongles tp the plate and still use the tripod.

This product is now different from an earlier one I purchased. No built in level in this base plate. I reached out to Colorado Tripod and no response. Wonder what has changed there.
