Great Workout !!
This type of yoga is fairly easy to do, and good for you!! My neighbor and I used to do these every morning for 2 years, then she had to leave to take care of the family. I couldn't believe Amazon had it ---- so now I'll start up again. Thanks :)

Not exactly the meditation cd I thought it was
Wasn't what I expected; but an acquaintance took it from my hand with my permission & said she would try it-- no word though. Just not the meditation I thought it was.

This cd prepares your body well with some warm-up exercises and then moves into the breathing postures. I admit, holding a couple of them for 5 minutes feels very challenging for a beginner, but the length of time can be modified and the effect afterward is DEEP relaxation. I recommend this for all levels.

Very effective!
This CD really surprised me: It is easy to follow, not too fast, not too slow, the male voice is very calm and soothing and the neutral music flows relaxingly in the background. Altogether it has a running time of about an hour, and at first I was sure I was going to end up just picking the parts I loved best (there are two warm-up parts, six breathing postures (which are held between 3 and 5 minutes) and one cool-down part). However, now I find myself looking forward to the complete exercising hour and don't want to miss even a minute of it! The exercises all build up on eachother, creating a wonderful overall sensation in body and mind by the end of the routine. Most of the exercises are not too difficult, yet still challenging enough and can be varied accordingly. The combination of physical exercise and breathing is perfect - the routine doesn't only improve the breathing but it also tones and stretches the whole body at the same time. I have tried other breathing CDs, but because most of them ask you to focus on your breathing while lying down or sitting, I find myself often falling asleep during the program. With this CD that definitively doesn't happen! It leaves you feeling fresh, energised and completely relaxed. As with all exercising programs however, it is recommended that you listen to your body at all times, but other than that I can only say: highly recommendable!
