How to fix won't shut off/leaks.
I am using this item with (Aluminum Sand Blaster Long Nozzle Attachment for Walnut Blaster, Sandblasting Wands Attachment 182mm) to walnut blast intake ports on automotive engines. I have high air pressure and after using it for only a few minutes there is an O-ring inside it that gets forced out of place resulting in the blaster not being able to turn off. To solve this all that is necessary is to take the big brass screw out and remove the valve. Under the valve you will find the O-ring has been pushed down into the body. Remove the O-ring...put a small washer into the barrel with a hole large enough for the valve shaft to go through with extra clearance for air to go past. Viola the O-ring can't be pushed out of place.

Works well. Not perfect
This blaster works great overall. It does use a lot of air, so make sure your compressor can keep up. I'm using regular media from Harbor Freight and it's been a dream with smooth and consistent performance.Like others have mentioned, the gun can occasionally get stuck in a constant airflow mode. This usually happens if you over-pressurize it. The fix is simple: take the gun apart and reseat the O-ring. I did that once and it’s been flawless ever since.I'm using Black Diamond media and getting excellent results. Highly recommend.

Best replacement unit I have ever used
This is my 4th or 5th replacement nozzle for my old harbor freight stand up blast cabinet. This has been the best unit so far and works amazing. I did use the new pickup tube that was supplied. Will definitely bookmark this for future replacement.

Only half works.
The gun from the package works perfectly but when you change the tips to the smallest pink one you get zero suction the biggest pink tip you get a little but it will not pick up sand at all. I read the reviews and knew about the short hose I figured I can get a longer hose for it. And boy the hose is very short. To where I had to put the sand in a bucket and cary the bucket close to your project. You also can not just put the sucker thing in the sand it will just burry itself and stop sucking. It almost takes 2 people to operate. One to use the tool and one to make sure it doesn't get to much sand. But it did do the job that we needed it for. I will be getting a longer hose though, but it still will need 2 people to run it efficiently. Which i always have someone willing to help me. Out of the package I run boiling water through the hose so the kinks from packaging would come out. It worked just fine and the hose is round again. With all that said I'm gonna keep it for all I need to do. It maybe a couple years before I use it again. I'm giving 2.5 stars because the pink tips are useless in my opinion

amazing
This siphon sand blaster works amazingly well. I replaced the blasting gun in my cabinet blaster with this one as the cabinet manufacture wanted almost $100 for a new one. I think this one works better the the original equipment. I bought a second one because I would remove it from my cabinet blaster to a sand bucket and that got to be too much work back and forth.
