I did not use an excess of glue. I have used products like this before and one nail didn't shed off. This product the caps continued to stay on after the nails grew so long that they almost curled back into her pad. Plus, the glue is a pain to re-close and use. I get that superglue is like that. Please watch your cat's nail growth after using the product closely. I have to trim them off as they grow out.Edit: photo is months later after trimming them as they grew. The nail isn’t shedding right.

I love this product. My cat is around 6 months and I got the small size (the size up from the smallest... 5lbs I think it was). I did not clip his nails before putting them on and I think that made a difference. The nail caps are rubbery and I think the sharp tip helps keep them snug. I also filled the cap all the way to the top with glue. My cat completely ignores the nail caps. He has no idea they are there (he’s not messing with them or trying to get them off) so it may depend on the cat whether they stay on or not.

I have a one and a half year old maine coon mix who loves to claw furniture for attention. naturally i decided to give capping his claws since i find declawing to be a horrible practice. I followed the instructions (fill halfway with glue, apply to nail, keep cat calm for 5 minutes) with minimal issues aside from him biting me a few times during the process. afterwards he took a nice hour long nap before becoming active again. that was 48 hours ago and in that time 5 of the caps have managed to come off without breaking the nail in the process. the only conclusion i have is that the adhesive supplied is not suitable for exceptionally active and playful cats

It was super easy to get these on my kitty, but a few of them did pop off pretty easy. (To be fair he was actively trying to get them off lol) I didn’t want to go through the whole process of re-adhering, but some did stay on for a few weeks. I think it is a small hassle/price to pay to keep my kitty from being declawed completely. If you have the patience to put them on and maybe use a bit more glue than I did, they do work and the cat effectively can’t tear up any furniture or anything! But the four stars is just because I felt some did not stay on as long as they should have, and since kitty is staying with my parents I couldn’t immediately re-glue them back on I wish they would have just stayed on to begin with. Lol also accidentally his nails matched mine. Adorable!

But the longer they wear them the more they get used to it.*As a side note, I have bought off-brand versions of these recently and my cat has chewed through almost all of the tips, leaving tiny bits of them on the floor. I have never seen her do that with this brand but it's something to look out for just in case, because then you have to wait for the rest of it to fall off before applying a new one.

These are great. If or once your cat allows you to put them on. Good luck with that part (my advice is to wear gloves and have a friend help you). They stay on for 2-3 weeks, or sooner as my cat bites them all the time to loosen them up and make them come off quicker. With them on the cat’s claws won’t scratch you, but they also render the cat unable to balance much so it can’t jump or climb at all (which has its benefits to the furniture) however I do feel a bit guilty for making the cat grounded completely and she’s not too thrilled with me either for doing so. I attempted to put a few ones on last night cause the first ones fell off and it was like the cat got possessed by the devil and tried to kill me before it bolted away and started to hand on the ceiling.......too bad cause they looked fabulous.

They are fairly easy to put on after you have tried a couple times. The first time I clearly didn't put enough glue because they came off after a couple of hours but my second attempt went well and they've stayed on for over a week so far. My cat usually tries to claw at them during application so you really have to hold her down so they don't glue their face to their nail (I don't know if they actually could, but she certainly wanted to try). I only put them on the front nails so each box should last me quite some time. I'll update this if necessary. My cat still scratches and it's still doing damage to our wall but not nearly as much as She was with just trimmed nails.

When i contemptlated getting these i didnt see any problem with the reviews so im writing this because i wish someone would have written something like this for me. The first time i used these the first week was okay well the last one would not come off. All the rest grew off and instead of the last one falling off my cat pulled his whole nail off in attempts to get rid of it. I would rate these a 0 after our experience because there was absolutely no warning on the box or in the reviews of how bad these are for your cat. Mine lost his nail right down to the Quik.

El pegamento está seco y por lo que parece caducado desde 2005. Además huele mal cuando lo abres, como a pies. En la caja no aparece que tenga ninguna comprobación de seguridad ni nada.The adhessive is dry and out of date since 2005. Besides it smells like feet when you open It. In the box we cant see that the product has come through any safety process.

cps and adhesive are ok, but they are not staying on the nails. it may be due to the size of the kitten as he is still small . these were the smallest size available. will re-review after he grows a bit and the extra time will give me a better perspective of how good or bad this product actually is.

Saved our furniture!! He has outgrown them now but it saved our couch from kitten scratches

I was a little intimidated at first. But their easy to use ! Helped a lot with the scratching we were experiencing as we have a young son! Defiantly recommend! Size x small
