Two true inspiring stories for little ones as well as adults!
This is one of the most inspiring books we've ever bought till date for our almost 3 year old son. He's had this book ever since he was 2.5 and has loved everything about this book. Illustrations are so easy for a little child to understand. Story of Iqbal is heart wrenching. Hope no child is ever used to recover money. Nothing could be more traumatizing than this. While the story of Malala is inspiring. Loved this purchase!

Courage and belief!!
A short story about Malala and Iqbal. So double the mazza and half the price. Story of courage and belief. Malala has always fascinated me and it looked like a good book for adding to our non-fiction collection. The illustrations are nice and bright, helped in starting quite a few conversations about how people can differing opinions and why education is so important. Little one loves malala more than iqbal.

We have it our library and the kids love to read about the brave Iqbal and Malala. What a way to pay tribute to these two heroes. Must read.

Childrens' stories to change the world
I love the illustrations and simple story telling. I want my children to hear and understand stories and life experiences such as those of Malala and Iqbal but I still found the retelling disturbing and will have to keep the full content for children much older than mine. I edit out some of the extremes when I read them to my small children but the pictures are so good and the context so compelling that they are worth reading even with a motherly edit. They provide a good context to speak about Pakistan and other contexts that I want my children learning about that few other children's books do. I'm pretty sure I heard of this on a list of childrens' stories to change the world. Its great to get two stories in one. I also have Jeanette Winter's telling of Wangari Mathai's story of replanting a greenbelt of trees in Kenya and being the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace prize, Wangari's Trees of Peace -https://www.amazon.com/Wangaris-Trees-Peace-Story-Africa/dp/0152065458.

Lovely illustrations and easy to read.
I bought it for my Montessori classroom. The children liked it, also the younger 6-7 years old can read it and follow the story by themselves. I suggest it!

Wonderful Teaching Tool
We are using this book in my second grade class to teach about culture, compare/contrast, and opinion writing. The text is highly engaging, and the students easily made connections to both Malala and Iqbal. This quickly became a classroom favorite, and several students have reread it on their own.
