A good read
A very good super mystery. I really enjoyed it. I'd like to see more in this universe. Perhaps a sequel?

A Darn Good Super Book
What I would have liked to know before I bought this book. (no spoilers)1. What type of book is it: action, drama, etc? This is a superhero espionage spy thriller. It has a ton of twists and hidden turns.2. What is the story about, in general? The story is about Leo the assassin, a man who spends his time killing superheroes that have gone secretly bad. When he successfully assassinates the greatest American superhero of his time, there are consequences.3. What/Who is the target audience? This is one of those books that I have a hard time categorizing well. I think young adults (18+) and adult (25+) men will find this story compelling. Those who enjoy a very good twisty story with a lot of intrigue will do to.4. Is there character development? Yes. No one is who they seem to be. Everyone has a background, a secret, or is protecting someone who does. Almost every character has a magnificent duality of purpose and role within the story.5. Are the characters likable? With one or two exceptions, I loved the characters. They are vibrantly flawed and also have great qualities as well. It was such a strange set of circumstances, and such a strange set of interesting personages that I had a difficult time putting the book down AFTER 45 percent of the book had gone by. Why is that 45 percent important? Before that critical point in the story, the book felt bland, uninteresting and I was ready to shrug at the one dimensional boring nature of the characters. After that point, threads suddenly come together in ways I hadn't even expected and character duality and depth was revealed.6. Does the story keep its pacing? I am extremely critical of flashbacks and this book has many of them. For the first 45 percent of the book, I wondered what use were those god awful flashbacks. One of them had provided information I was interested in, the others felt like wastes of time. I was ready to put the book down and move on. 10 percent more and my eyebrows hit my hairline. Son of a gun. The flashbacks made sense! They became useful, important, even necessary! This became one of the few reads where flashbacks entertained me! My surprise was monumental. That was followed with continuous plot twists. I almost did not see any of the hits coming. For me, being completely surprised is the `mana' of reading. Excellent execution.7. Do you have to suspend disbelief? Besides it being a superhero story, no. In fact, most of the `superheroes' aren't really that invulnerable or ridiculous. The names are hokey but the story simply isn't.8. Is the book worth the asking price? Yes. The price is worth it. I did not feel I wasted a cent.In conclusion: This is, by far, one of the most interesting stories I've read this year. It has intrigue, action, adult romance, adult considerations, realistic consequences and good surprises. I wish the read had engaged me earlier in its pages, as the feeling of extreme dissatisfaction with the first half of the book tainted the rest of my reading experience. It could have used a little better delivery, but the plot remained very smart. I did not detect spelling errors, which means I probably was so engrossed in the read that I didn't notice them. The ebook price is modicum. Some people might get fed up early and hate the book, some will simply not like the way it was composed. I am not one of them. Very good read.4.6 Stars

Hands down, the best book I've read this year!
Oh, you had a tough day at the office? Try killing Superheroes for a living.Meet Leo Craft, superhero assassin extraordinaire. Leo specializes in taking out the elite heroes that everyone else on the planet love and adore. Why, do you ask? Because they deserve it that’s why. Some heroes do, indeed, where masks. Some lie, cheat, and steal and these are the heroes that Leo is paid to eliminate. His latest job, however, has taken a toll for the worse and now he is under the gun. Killing the world’s most beloved hero has painted a bull’s eye on Leo's back and If he doesn’t uncover the truth about who set him up, and why, the entire system could come crashing down around him.Ernie Lindsey’s Super is truly a one-of-a-kind thriller.Originally, I was attracted to the book by the cover. This thing is amazing. Shout out to Adam Hall of Atom Creative [...], this is one of the coolest covers I’ve seen and I really hope we get to see more of his work. Now, I do a lot of reading, and over the past several months, I have read my share of good, not-so-good, and horrible books. Super is flat out…super. Okay, fine, cheesy…blah, blah, blah, it was fraking fantastic. From the opening page, I was hooked.A lot of novels grab you from the first line, get you interested, then kind of just leave you hanging until something interesting happens. Super grabs you with every chapter. Every time I finished one, I felt compelled to read the next. The snarky and witty protagonist makes every page fun to read. I can’t count the number of times I laughed aloud while reading this book.Super is a fine example of how books can keep you on the edge of your seat. There are a lot of “suspense thrillers” out there, but a lot of their “suspense” feels forced. Books where every time a big secret is about to be revealed a pack of wild dogs jump in through the skylight and blast away with collar mounted laser guns. Whatever, it could happen. Super feels natural and flows very well. When the big “and-the-plot-thickens” twist happens, I literally had to put the book down and walk away. Mind blown. After making several laps around the living room and high-fiving myself several times, I came back and frantically continued reading.Long story, longer, you need to read this book.Super was an absolute pleasure to read!

Five Stars
A nicely realised world that shows how goverments would really react to super-humans.

OK for something light to read
Plot and storyline were far fetched plus a bit weak and messy. Not sure I'd care to read any more of this.
