Fellow educators- this mic might become your new best friend. Give it try!
Best bang for your buck if you’re an educator! I use it everyday when teaching. When I’m not speaking I move the mic arm away from my mouth and turn it off to extend battery life for that charge but leave it on my body for quick access to click on again. I wear mine like a belt and find the least amount of cord issues with it like this. I get headaches from tight headbands and headphones so I actually wear the headset around my neck and angle my mic accordingly and it still works like a charm (as seen in photos)! Sound quality and volume control has been excellent, even in a noisy or large room.I’ve thought about buying the wireless headset and plug from this ZOWEETEK brand to go with the speaker, but I’ve held off as it seems the witless headset battery is quite a bit smaller and wouldn’t fit my needs as well. I don’t mind being wired in though sometimes, due to being so short, I have to finesse the cord so feedback doesn’t occur. However it’s not too much of a hassle to worry about. The mic helps project my voice through my mask it without any issues. I keep my mic on the outside of my mask but it could certainly be tucked inside if that is comfortable for you. If you don’t wear one then your voice will sound even louder and crisper than it does with a mask on.I use this little mic and speaker combo pretty much all day every day in the classroom. I leave it in the room to charge overnight and it’s always ready to go the next the day for class. There have been only a handful of times it’s “died” during teaching (you can tell the battery is low by how the sound quality and overall power of the audio changes). I believe this was due to it getting bumped by custodial staff in the night and the charging cord loosening. When this has happened I just take it off, plug it in and leave it alone for 20-30 minutes. This usually charges it up enough for me to get through the remainder of the day or get me until plan time when I can charge it for longer but again this has rarely had to be done. Otherwise, I’ve never had any issues with it. It saves my voice on the regular. One week due to horrid allergies and multiple other speaking/singing/family gatherings on the weekend, I lost my voice almost completely. Thankfully I was still able to teach my Kinders thanks to this mic being powerful enough to pick up what little voice I still had left without straining it more. I use this mic for pretty much everything, even used it at field day, which was amazing (lots of compliments and admiration from parent volunteers who wished they had a mic that day)!I’m a substitute who specializes in longterm assignments. Last year I was with a group of Kinders for 7 1/2 months and I used this everyday. It allows me to avoid straining my voice and helps me not become a “yeller” teacher, which I can’t stand and don’t want to be! I do not feel that benefits anyones learning experiences and it can easily impact a room/environment negatively if one is not careful. To avoid that, I use my mic! Also, this setup is so much better than the old teardrop Bluetooth mics the district I work in has where the speakers are in the ceiling. I can even use this mic in the hallway, gym, outside, and any other number of locations it might come in handy (see photos). I will be bringing this with me in my teacher go bag for all my future day-to-day assignments until my next long-term comes up. I will continue to use it when I get my own classroom in the future, as well!If you’re an educator looking for a great quality mic, that lasts all day on a full charge with wise usage, saves your voice, is portable, and doesn’t cost a crazy amount then I would strongly encourage you to give this one a try! Happy leading, serving, teaching and growing. :)(purchased November 2021- reviewed July 2022)

Works great for a teacher or speaker on a budget.
I am a teacher and I don't have a strong voice that projects well, so this worked really well for me. This is not going to give you the volume or sound quality that a profession speaker in an auditorium would need. It suits my needs though. I teach approximately 32 students at a time and it's basically impossible to get them to all stop talking. When I try to raise my voice I just sound shrill and like I'm always yelling at them. So I tried this little voice amplifier and I've been very happy. I can speak in a calm voice and still be heard over the ambient noise.I generally leave the volume all the way up and vary how loud my voice is by how close I put my mouth to the microphone. If I need to be loud, I dip my chin to speak directly into the microphone. When I need to have a private whispered conversation with a student, I raise my chin and don't speak into the microphone. It's become second nature. I wear the headset around my neck and put the microphone in my pocket. I do have to wear pants with large pockets to make this work, so it has limited my wardrobe. The little belt loop clip on the speaker is pathetic and doesn't stay in place, so if you can't put it in your pocket I don't think you will be happy with this system. It's really my only complaint. As far as feedback, when I sit down with the volume turned all the way up, sometimes I'll get feedback. So I generally turn the volume down to halfway before I sit. Since I rarely sit down with kids in the classroom, it's not really a problem and I never get feedback any other time. Overall, I love this cheap little voice amplifier and I wonder how I ever taught without it in the past. Of course a wireless system with higher quality speakers would be better, but this was simple and affordable. You don't need to have any expertise with technology to make this work. Highly recommended!

Workable
I brought this because with the job I do has a educator I am constantly using my voice to teach can cause a strain on voice. This device does help, but the volume control is kind of tricky at times sometimes the volume does not fully come on. You have move the dial to mid end to get a good volume control. I even use it outside in the cold during recess with my coat zipped and the kids still heard me clearly. The only complaint I have, the belt/clip that comes w/ it is not your average belt for everyone even w/ adjusting it. They could have made the belt longer for people with wider waist lines. But overall, it still is good.

Works quite well!
I admit… I bought this to use as an amplified speaker for vintage antique ham radios. Before using it for that, I walked around the house with it strapped to me for about a week talking to members of my family with it this way, just to be annoying. if I had a use for it in the classroom setting, it would be perfect. It was loud, and the audio was fairly clear. Better than I expected.

Great for PE teachers
I am a PE teacher for a private school and we do most of our classes on our field, which is next to a major street. I've tried megaphones but its hard to hold them to my mouth while i'm demonstrating a drill or activity. This voice amp allows hands free demonstration and instruction, while allowing my kids to hear me clearly over the street noise.
