This well made, easy to assemble stand is perfect for the steam press. Great quality and well thought out design with an airing tray, wide ironing area and not too heavy. Perfect height and very stable. My brother has also bought both the steam press and stand. Brilliant buy.

I love the stand but the piece that holds the rack up is broken other than that it's great product

Given that this stand is sold specifically for its compatibility with the 26" singer steam press, I expected to find that the steam press would fit well on the stand (it did), that the stand would would be stable and sturdy (yes on both accounts), have a height where I can sit on my couch and press clothes while watching TV (also a yes), and that it would hold the steam press securely in place for it to be operated safely ... The stand has 4 bolt/screw holes that (I assumed) could be aligned with the base of the steam press so one can screw the press to the stand and have it held securely. Unfortunately, no such holes exist on the steam press base. Instead, there's a Velcro strap that is supposed to be used to hold your steam press to the base. Now at first, you may think this to be a poor solution for fastening a hot and heavy item balanced on a tripod. But when you actually try using it this way, you realize that this impression is 100% right. The steam press will keep shifting on the stand every time you close the lid to steam a garment, requiring constant adjustment to stop it falling off, while hanging from the Velcro strap, possibly burning you and others in the vicinity (think pets, kids, etc.) Iss it made of quality material? You bet!! But it's the equivalent of a luxury super car with wooden square wheels. I wish I'd simply bought a picnic table instead of this, and probably saved some money also.
