GE PGB980ZEJSS 30" Stainless Steel Gas Sealed Burner Double Oven Range - Convection

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I have had this stove for almost 4 months and still can't use it. The upper oven smelled of gas and would not cook. Someone came out to look at it and it was going to take 3 weeks for the part to come in. About a month later it was "fixed" The upper oven now takes 45 min to heat up to 375. the lower oven makes a loud creeking sound. Both ovens make the "flume" noise a lot through out the heating and cooking process. This oven came to me with defects and GE will not replace it. They will only send someone out to service a broken stove. After 1 year they will charge for the services. Because it was bought on Amazon through a third party seller, they won't take it back because of the 30 day return window. Someone was supposed to come today to look at it and they cancelled because they have to order parts and it's going to take another week....or so. The warranty states that GE is not responsible for any damage due to defected products. This is a defected product. It is unsafe and no one cares because of the warranty. I am out $2,000.00 and a stove, or I put my family and home at risk every time I turn it on. I will no longer buy ANY GE products OR buy from third party sellers on Amazon. I would encourage everyone reading to learn from my mistake.

Did not receive a manual with this stove. Would like to have one mailed to me please. Also the upper stove seems to cook at a lower temp than the bottom. Light doesnt work in the upper stove. The stove top scratches easily. But I am happy to have two ovens.

We have had this for slightly over 6 months now. We LOVE it. We were very pleased with the entire experience and with the vendor too.

We own a 10-year old GE Profile gas range similar to the models listed here. It is at the end of its life cycle. Burners won't light and cost $400 to repair. We use a lighter. Stovetop scratches and chips easily. Cooking performance, however, has been great. If you replace appliances on a 10 year or less cycle, GE Profile should work well, in my opinion.

I considered many ranges before choosing this one. I am so happy with my decision. This is a beautiful, versatile, well-thought out range. Everything about it is so well made and works flawlessly. I had a bit of trouble setting the clock, but found that with a thin paper napkin between my fingers and the key pad, it was very easy! I highly recommend this range.
